Odin13:Liar! You're not from Southern Kaduna. I served in Fadan Kaje in 2007 and didn't leave, until 2009, because of my girlfriend's hospitality. I put it to you, no known reasonable person from Kataf, Jama, Zonkwa, Kagarko, Kagoro, Kafanchan, will like El-Rufai and openly be proud of it. |

Odin13:You lied that you're from Southern Kaduna, but your comments said you're Igbo . For your information, President Tinubu is not Pitobi or Funke Akindele that thought online followership (where anonymous like you can operate 1000 accounts on just 1 platform, like X, Facebook, or Nairaland) Asiwaju believes in real issues, he won't dwell on religion or tribal. When the time comes, you will see millions of Northern Nigerians campaign for his 2nd term. So, we won't drag online Presidency with Pitobi.. |

AMINDA:Elrufai not only lose Kaduna state for presidential election, he lost by a huge margin. PDP won that state convincingly. Obi no win by 3% in Lagos. EL-Rufai also lose all senatorial seat to the PDP. He lost almost all the house of rep to the PDP except his son and one other guy like that. PDP won all the rest. How do you compare that to Lagos where APC won almost all senatorial, house of rep, house of assembly, and lost presidential by less than 3% margin? Do you think you’re talking to kids here on Nairaland? |

LegendHero:Okay, we are talking margin of loss now. What about Kano under Ganduje and Adamawa under Ribadu? What was the margin? Elrufai was not on the ballot, Tinubu was (unless you expected him to rig the election). That just shows you how unpopular your Man Friday was. The numbers he got in Kaduna was a miracle considering that the votes were split 3 ways between Tinubu, a strong northern son (Atiku) and Obi (Southern Kaduna and invariably, the candidate of all Christians in Kaduna). If not for voter suppression and invocation of tribal sentiments, APC was set to also lose most seats in Lagos. Hence why did the likes of Banky W and Co lost their elections to LP. The only saving grace was because the Senate elections were held on different days. Elrufai also incurred the wrath and anger of Northern elites and hardcore Buharists (on Tinubu's behalf) who were angry with him for challenging Buhari’s perceived candidate and sueing him to court, which they deemed an embassment. All for an unappreciative Tinubu to throw him under the bus and seek to justify the treachery. In 2027, Tinubu's northern voters (most of whom were inspired by Elrufai) will simply add their numbers to Atiku's, then you will understand the hardwork that people like Elrufai did for Tinubu in the North. Don't make the mistake of thinking Tinubu's Northern votes from 2023 are still intact. Not after his betrayal coupled with his woeful performance thus far. |
| Re: "You contributed to my victory": Tinubu celebrates Nasir El-Rufai at 65 by LegendHero(m): 1:53pm On Feb 16, 2025 |
AMINDA:Ganduje is the most instrumental person in the NW to Tinubu. In Kano, Jagaban got 517k votes and trashed PDP badly. Kwakwanso got 900k +. That 517k margin wiped out the difference Atiku got in the rest of the NW states. Do you know on aggregates, Tinubu still won the NW over PDP? That is the work of his comrades in the North. In Nigeria, election is more like mathematics. Adamawa is the home state of Atiku and a PDP state. So we don’t expect Ribadu to outperform Atiku in that state. But yet we still got over 25% of the votes. |

HomeofSolution:You see northerners are just too smart to fall for this kind of smokescreen. You may accuse them of anything, but in politics, they're the number one. I believe the northern political class deliberately allow elrufai to be unusually vocal so as to unsettle the presidency and invoke more northern anger against tinubus people by how they react to elrufai. The north are masters in the patience game. |

Svoboda:Some of you still hold dearly and ignorantly to what your grandparents told you about Northern Nigeria, hence the reason you think the North has something like a WhatsApp group, where they meet to determine who to vote and who not to vote during an election. My friend, the dynamics have changed, people are wiser, even in the North, people want money, power and influence. If the North is what you think and believe they are, politically, there will be only one political party in the entire north, but the reality is different. If Tinubu can give good money to just 1000 people from each of the 21 Northern States, he will successfully divide their ranks, and they will do his bidding, afterall, nobody doesn't want money. Or you think it was only luck that made Tinubu President abi you smart pass him? |
| Re: "You contributed to my victory": Tinubu celebrates Nasir El-Rufai at 65 by LegendHero(m): 2:35pm On Feb 16, 2025 |
Ikinternational:You are a political novice. Do you mean Atiku will win all the areas in the Middle belt that Obi won? Except if your argument is that if Obi was Atiku vice in last election, then I agree they would have defeated Asiwaju. But if what you mean is that Atiku on a standalone ticket with another vice against Tinubu, Jagaban would have still trashed Atiku. |

ChiefOloye:Didn't Jonathan try the same route in 2015, did it work for him in the north? They collected his money and still collectively humiliated him in the north. In 2023, Buhari was aloof until he gave that video message in Hausa from Saudi, asking his supporters to vote tinubu. That was a major factor to tinubus election despite tinubus largesse. The north isn't as subservient to money as those from the south. They move by consensus when they consider a big threat. The last Friday prayers before the election in 2027 will determine a lot. |

Svoboda:This is parts of the illusions, comparing President Tinubu to President Jonathan. To start with, this is 2015 or 2027, not 2015. There's no Buhari, a man many, including me believed was a Robin Hood of sort, another factor is, Tinubu isn't an accidental president like Jonathan. Jonathan, like Peter Obi, didn't have political friends or allies in the North, but Tinubu has 1000s of his business and political friends that will still line behind him in the North. |

Most of these people in the state mentioned above are competing with the poor struggling Northerners, we are trying to know which of these groups are better off. 🥱🥱🥱🥱
