Who gave the Sultan such power?

Islam specifically states that when the Moon for the month of Ramadan is sighted, fasting may begin, if it’s not sighted, the preceding month, which is Shaban should be counted until 30 and Ramadan should start of the next day.

The Sultan is only being honored to follow his orders because he is thought as the leader of Muslims in Nigeria by one council.

I still remember many years ago when fasting would commence in the North and down south will not fast until the next day, this usually resulted in 2 days Eid prayer.

I don't have problems with Sultan , but why will a particular tribe be head of all Muslims in the country for life , can't it be rotational , if Sultan dies tomorrow and another almajiri become sultan that means he will also be the leader of all Muslims.
I don't know why our former ethnic leaders just take nonsense from these northerners.
Can't an Igbo Muslim or Kogi Muslim be a leader or even Ilorin Muslim why must it be a Fulani .......are all of you brain suffering from stroke

You dummy...the Sultan is the head of the Nigeria Supreme council of Islamic Affairs which is the umbrella body of Muslims in Nigeria, as agreed and accepted by your fathers so you see what a small fry like you thinks or feels about the Sultan is irrelevant.
