As an upcoming farmer I want to pen down my agricultural adventure.
I hope to learn along the way.
May I succeed and may the readers be blessed!

Observations, corrections and criticisms are welcome.

Working materials for Okra farm

I chose to start with Okra because of it's lower risk and lesser stress in management (I need extra oxygen for cucumber or tomatoes staking and ish grin grin grin)
Secondly Okra has very good market potential in my area Umuahia.
Looking forward to Aba and Owerri in future as I grow

Saw an advert on Facebook from an Okra farm in Akwa Ibom.
They used the Okra HIRE from Technisem so I got 100gms container waybilled from Akwa Ibom.
The okra is said to have heavy productivity and would produce for 10 weeks when well taken care of.

I got some bags of poultry manure for a while now

I bought a water tank for irrigation. I have drip tapes and layflat for the sub main.

Land has been cleared!

Will proceed to making beds and installation of irrigation materials

I am starting small.

Pictures will come later

There's been a break in transmission for some reasons concerning my tight schedule
1. I am rounding up my training as a tractor operator at National Root crop Research Institute Umudike so I have to be around as a trainee while the tractors are being serviced for this farming year.
Had to refurbish the implements to to avoid rust and repair ones that need to be repaired.
2. I also had to harvest palm fruits. Very hectic something. I'll be harvesting another set this week.
3. Since I don't want any activities distracting my irrigation process so I have decided to kick off with rain being my boost then I take it off from there. Once the irrigation is set then I'll plant immediately.
4. I am starting small, working alone for now and my strength is limited.
Hands will join as we progress
