Those who commit a lot of crimes such as murders, traffic robberies, luxury bus robberies, bank robberies, kidnappings, some ritual killings, baby factories, drug trafficking, etc in the Western parts of Nigeria especially in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, etc, are usually done by people from other ethnic groups (with Igbos especially Anambra indigenes leading the pack) based on several crime data from many decades ago that I have seen.

haven't brought crime to the West. Many crimes are committed by some young Igbos in the West and other parts of Nigeria and West Africa because of the ease of movements across States and borders.

It has always been like that for over 30 years now based on credible crime statistics that I have followed for years. It was very bad from the late 1990s right into the late 2010s with luxury bus robberies, kidnappings, bank robberies, child stealing for trafficking purposes, etc.

Indeed, I remember that heinous crime you talked about took place in 2024 and was widely circulated in the online and offline media and posted here on NL. A lot of vicious crimes taking place in the Western States of Nigeria are usually committed by non-Yoruba criminals.

Because of the cosmopolitan nature of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo States, you have especially young Igbo criminals, foreign Fulani illegal herders and some Niger Delta Ijaws (crimes in the waterways of Lagos, Arepo in Ogun, Ondo) committing all kinds of vicious crimes in those states based on credible crime statistics and data available to me for over 3 decades now. One notorious NL troll and creep had started insulting Yorubas right on page one of this thread without realizing that those who committed this latest crimes are his fellow Igbos (Arrested Anambra indigenes are usually the major criminals and culprits I have seen from the crime data over the decades from the 1990s, but you have some from Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, etc).

Some armed Ijaws pirates from Bayelsa and Delta States operating in Arepo in Ogun, Lagos, and Ondo States (who were into bank robberies through the waterways in VI and Ikoyi, Amuwo Odofin, armed robberies on residential buildings, rapes, and kidnappings for ransom) and armed Fulani herders also constitute part of the non-Yorubas who have committed vicious crimes over the last 30 years. But the Igbos East of River Niger are in the highest and worse offenders.

Seven-man kidnap gang terrorising Ogun community arrested
Ogun State Police Command on Friday said that it has arrested a seven-man gang that specialised in kidnapping and killing their victims after collecting ransom from their loved ones.

This group operates within Ijebu-Igbo and environs in Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state.

Two members of the gang, Chukwuma Bathlomew aged 40 and Igwe Sunday aged 42 were reportedly arrested and paraded last month while 31-year-old Ifeanyi Mathias, Anayo Simeon aged 28 and Ayo Adedayo, 46 were recently arrested.

Others were Chibueze Odah 41, Ejiofor Nwali aged 35, 22-year-old Eke Peter, Monday Paul aged 24 and 37-year-old Chukwuma Zainab.
