Kosiso12:These are the stupid policies that have seriously impacted negatively on the security situation in Nigeria. A kidnapper that subjected a human being to unimaginable toture, rape, murder and unforgettable trauma will be arrested, and the stupid human rights will call out the police and insist they should be charged to court or be released. U charge them to court, and the court will grant them bail and they are back on the street comitting the same crime. A recent incident happened in Abuja where some robbers robbed and stabbed some victim were apprehended and handed over to the Police, the police charged them to court and they were granted bail immediately. 2 weeks later, they started operating in the same place again around Galadimawa and they rob, raped and stabbed a lady and another Policeman. The lady is currently fighting for her life and no one knows if she'll survive it. It is this stupid laws that failed us. People like Falana should know that every country is unique and have what works and what doesn't work. The fact that it works in Europe does not mean it will work in Nigeria. We don't have the same population and the demographic factors are not the same. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Why not try things that will work to secure the populace. You are worried about the fundamental rights of a self confessed criminal, but you are not worried about the rights of those he has violated, and the lives of millions of Nigerians out there who's human rights are at stake cos of your stupid decision to protect the rights of a self confessed suspected criminal. |

Fidelity2050:The law says they are innocent until proven guilty, are you saying parading innocent people is actually good? |
| Re: FG Orders Nigeria Police Force To Stop Parading Suspects by Growing(m): 10:29am On Feb 18, 2025 |
How did we ever get to normalize the parading SUSPECTS? Stopping this is a welcome development. There is a reason for the assumption of innocence until proven guilty. If you are against that, think of what would happen to society if the reverse is the case. |

IamANigerianMan:You are a big fool. Evidence of what ? How many people have EFCC paraded as Alleged fraudsters and they got exonerated after ? Anyone can have “evidence” against anyone . Prove it in court first and let the courts determine if the person is truly a criminal . After that they can parade the convict. With that your korofo head , Ecowas , these notable SANs and ultimately the AGF no know wetin dem Dey do Abi ? |

Fidelity2050:Are you normal at all? How do you accurately determine the severity of their crimes and whether they actually committed thè crimes when they haven't yet been convicted by the courts ![]() |

gidigbam1:Okay but wait until you are set up and you are held without trial . Then let’s see if you will sing a different song while you eat watery beans. Worse still , you are wrongly accused of stealing prick and you are beaten to death before anyone investigates. That they were released is the failure of the legal system , not the law itself . Following laws is the only thing that separates us from animals . There is a saying that it is better for 100 criminals to go free than one innocent man to go to jail . |

Free2Fly:What until your five years old daughters head is severed and the murderer is caught red-handed, then still call him a suspect and stop the police from parading him. Nonsense! |

Avedonn:I personally don't see anything wrong with the mugshot but why parading suspects almost nude, sometimes with cuffs and all sorts of things? Some of these suspects ends up being innocent but at the end of the day their images have already been dented and would take a lot of conviction for the society to accept them. |
| Re: FG Orders Nigeria Police Force To Stop Parading Suspects by handsomeyinka(m): 11:22am On Feb 18, 2025 |
Avedonn:They are referring to the suspect not convicted criminals. The Nigerian police will of course parade criminals but the convicted ones |
| Re: FG Orders Nigeria Police Force To Stop Parading Suspects by Electorate: 11:35am On Feb 18, 2025 |
Fidelity2050:If police raid your area and you are one of those arrested, you were now paraded alongside the actual criminals, all your neighbors and friends saw a picture of you paraded with criminals...later, you were now acquited and free, you were not charged to court because you didn't commit any crime....how are you going to convince your neighbors and friends one by one that you are innocent? Now tell me, is this not a good thing that parading suspects is bad judging from the above analogy I just gave you? Abi you wan make I open your head put book inside? Education is not a scam, get educated.

Electorate:If someone comes into ur apartment to kill, severe and dismember the body of your five years old daughter, and the murderer is caught red-handed, he shouldn't be paraded cos he is only just a suspect. In fact he is still innocent until he's tried and convicted |

Avedonn:If the parade them when they are accused of doing wrong, will they Parade them again if they are tried and are innocent. |
| Re: FG Orders Nigeria Police Force To Stop Parading Suspects by Proudlyngwa(m): 11:40am On Feb 18, 2025 |
Fidelity2050:Unfortunately that is the law. Innocent until proven guilty beyond all possible doubt. |

Avedonn:Yes that's true but if you're not found guilty you can have those records expunged. The deterrent to crime is simply the likelihood of being caught. Criminals use risk reward measures to decide if crime is worth their time. It's not the federal governments impeding executions. |
