Those saying because it's cheaper don't realise that the driver for doing this is the high quality of education in Nigeria. I understand you might not have lived outside Nigeria, so I have no problem with your views.

Most schools abroad encourage mediocrity and non ambitious learning. Many Nigerians see this gap and decide that their own child will not join the bandwagon of mediocrity and so get a teacher from Nigeria who will help push the child better with a Nigerian driven curriculum.

Why do you think Nigerians top classes in UK schools for example?
you are right like what happened to a Nigerian teaching UK a long time ago. Student call am monkey because the teacher told him to stop distracting the child teacher follow protocol tell administration administration told him to live with it can you imagine. We are nothing but tools to this ignoramus people

I pay R300 daily for a 1hr maths lesson for my child. That’s almost 40k naira daily. I think this is dope and would definitely patronise them.
I tutor, in case you're looking out for one.

I am planning something similar for my baby sis 13yes old, arts student. Someone who could teach or mentor her on all subjects. Five days a week, 5 hours a day 400k naira a month as salary and 60k monthly allowance for data and energy For us it is cheaper but for the tutor in Nigeria it is also a lot of money, sitting in the comfort of your room and making money, long term plan.
What are the subjects, so I know if I can help?

I teach her age grade and my teaching approach is wholesome. I take my time to tailor my tutoring to the individual student's capacity, not a one size fits all method.

Some Nigerians who live abroad now get lesson teachers for their kids from Nigeria to help boost their children's grades in school.

The lesson is done online via zoom.

What do you think about this kind of style?
It's been around for some years now (even before the ascendancy of Zoom during the global lock downs from 2021). Other facetime apps have been used for these sorts to teach kids in the Diaspora languages, and other basic courses in the STEM fields.

I did this while I was in Nigeria. I prepared a kid in year five for his Primary checkpoint English and his elder brother for his GCSE. And I often prepared others for IELTS. The pay was reasonable considering the exchange rate and it was even more affordable for the parents as they're not obligated to pay minimum wage. So it's a win win!
That's impressive.

That is a good point. But that how will it be honoured? If a party default, how will you handle it, considering distance barrier?

You report to the Labor union or Department for state labor. Just sent them an email especially for European countries and see the magic that would happen.

Let me gist of an incident.

There's a man dual citizenship (Nigeria and British) came to Nigeria to set up a business and found how lax our system is and started to exploit it. Just a complaint mail to British council, he adjusted paid for damages and since then has been nice to the employees.

I disagree, because we are presently doing this, we've hired a teacher in Nigeria who does 4 hours a week for our daughter and we pay him 120k a month.
My friend teaches the girl 4 times a week, the parent of the girl pays my friend 10k a week, which is 40k in a month.

It's a good thing. I also teach grade 10 and 11 Mathematics to students in Canada and I don't even use Zoom. I use the video feature of WhatsApp call. However, you need to be familiar with their syllabus because some areas are slightly different from our syllabus in Nigeria. But overall, it's all fun!
Hello sir, I'm a mathematics teacher. I'm interested in online lessons, I would appreciate if I get gigs from you. How do I contact you sir
