They are yet to pick uo my passport and time is going cos I need it before d 19th of FEB. I am really stuck cos no one has contacted mi and I don't even know what courier to reach out to .

I was talking based on experience over time and facts from IRCC website. Also to correct the notion that the US travel history accelerated the application processing time.

Here are the screenshots of the two applications if that will clear your doubts.

You don get visa for old people with zero experience and want use that deceive young men here when refusal is extremely high..a beg carry ur visa agent business to the street and leave that advert method u dey use here!

Lol. I had to go through your profile and read your past posts. Then I realized you are probably suffering from 'visa-refusal' trauma since August last year. The bitterness in your replies to many people on here is from another world. You process posts with your anus, not with your brain. My initial discussion was on processing time, not approval rate. Somebody ask you age bracket of ur fast applicant with no travel history but you refuse to answer as you here to advertise ur visa packing market to young travellers . Mr visa agent

You make money from deceiving people with ur bogus visa claims.you not a registered ircc consultamt so you classified as quack and a scammer!!

Though the portal used doesn't determine how fast your application is being treated, but I encountered a serious issue on the new portal. My Gmail was hacked and I lost access to my email address, unfortunately I couldn't log in again to my IRCC portal (new portal). I requested for change of Email address via a webform since October they replied me December saying I should contact ircc in kenya. Eventually, it was January I got to know through ATIP that the email has been changed to the new one I provided but I can't login to my IRCC account with the new email address provided.
But if it was GCkey account (old portal) if you lost a login details or your agent refuse to update you about your application, you can open another account and link your application to the new account you open which will give you access to your profile. Also on application status checker, it only recognizes account on old portal and not new portal.

Congrats.

1. Try and confirm if DHL would even accept cross-border shipment of passport to and from Nigeria.

2. You can send the new passport and a letter of explanation to VFS. In the meantime, try and upload the new passport via webform and attach a letter of explanation.

3. Yes, it is possible. But since you probably have about 30 days, I would advise you contact IRCC via webform informing that them that you plan to submit your passport in Nigeria. You can also contact VFS Nigeria for further confirmation.

Just fill out the web form stating that your passport is missing and explain the situation attach the new passport to the web form. Then, take your new passport to the nearest VFS in Nigeria (Lagos or Abuja) without needing to book an appointment—there’s no need to send it to London.
When Canada approves your visa, you can submit it at any Canada VFS worldwide without requiring special permission; you just need to pay the transmission fee.

I live in the US, but I would like my parents to visit Canada for vacation. I might travel from the US to join them. My mom doesn't need a visa. She has a US green card.Can I be their sponsor? My dad is self-employed and has close to 30M in his account, but he has an old CAC from 1989, but it's not showing on the CAC website again. He will have to reregister the business and file taxes, which will take a while.
Can I go ahead and sponsor him with my own US bank statements? I have more than enough funds to cover both of them.
Note: I applied for Canada for my dad in 2023, but the GCSM note states he only has $6k in his account even though he had 20M in his account, and they don't think he will leave Canada.My dad doesn't want me to apply for the US green card yet because he's not ready to move to the US.

Yes you can sponsor ur father but still need to include home tie that will proof he will return to nigeria after the visit in the appplication.

Please will the vfs in newyork be sending my passport to Canada for stamping or they stamp the passport at the Canana VSF office in newyork. Why don’t you want your parents to come and vacation in the USA? Because on one hand you want to apply for uk visa for them and the other hand it’s Canada you them to go to and you’re willing to travel to go see them in both countries.
What will happen if you apply for US for them instead, at least those ones don’t bother about active or inactive CAC or money in the account?

did you read my post ? My mom is in the US and she has a green card but she still needs a visa to go to UK etc. My dad just want to visit different countries also. He's not ready to move here fully to the US. He has visited us few times before.
He is in his late 50s and will love to travel and visit different countries.

Also i had a 5 year valid US Visa (that i have never used) before applying, i am a first time applicant.

Absolutely sorry to rain on your parade but I highly doubt the visa would be granted. Family of 7 for niece's graduation?
They better have very very strong home ties (like maybe leaving one kidney each in Nigeria) 'cos I don't want to tell you what would be going on in the mind of a VO given the recent trends with Nigerian families visiting Canada.
