Airtel seems faster but with smaller gbs, data sucks faster however, with bigger gbs, you won't notice this much. MTN seems to work better at night.

In terms of data quality and quantity, MTN any day! Airtel charges double data. When you use 1gb on MTN, you will need 2gb to do the same using Airtel.

Are you trying to scan from the same phone? Or you transferred the QR Code to a different device and scan? I use Airtel e-sim and no issues though.

Try another mtn office, that one may be experiencing some glitches
