'His Passage Leaves A Profound Void' - Ibori Mourns Edwin Clark by bennybuhari(op): 5:48pm On Feb 18, 2025
Former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori has described the late PANDEF leader, Edwin Clark as an exceptional leader and fearless fighter who never hesitated to speak the truth when it mattered most.

Clark died on Monday at the age of 97.

In a statement on his social media pages, Ibori said the late Clark during his lifetime exhibited the true spirit of the Niger Delta, which are courage, determination and an unyielding commitment to justice.

"Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark (E. K. Clark) was a fearless fighter, a staunch federalist, and an exceptional leader of our time".

"He never hesitated to speak the truth when it mattered most, serving as a moral compass for the Ijaw Nation, Delta State, and Nigeria at large. In him burned the true spirit of the Niger Delta—courage, determination, and an unyielding commitment to justice".

"His leadership was a beacon of hope and resilience, and his passing leaves a profound void. We will sorely miss his wisdom, guidance, and unwavering voice. May his soul rest in perfect peace".

Which voice, why didn't he used the same voice to speak to Jonathan for developing south south. He was busy building a university in his home town by Jonathan and didn't bother to tell him to fix the refineries, revalitize Warri and other port and fix east west road. His voice became faint when Jonathan his fellow Ijaw man became president. He is among the problems we faced in south south.

During the national conference, he was the one championing Resource control and to put an end to monthly allocation. Northerner members rejected it.
There are leaders, but financial benefits are part of their leadership.

He died at a ripe age. Good he was already old during Tinubu and Buhari era. Living up to 60 years now is like winning Olympic medal. People die more of hunger and starvation these days than during war times. May God help us.
