APC is really the worst thing to ever happen to Nigeria.

The rapid devaluation of the Naira started in 2015 when the utterly incompetent, gworo chewing Fulani Herdman from Daura began ruining the country while Tulumbu stood by and hailed him as a genius.

Binance was not even in existence in 2015, but the Agbado tout wants to hang his blunders on them and make them a scape goat.

Maybe Nigerians will finally learn their lesson after 4 years of this MU-MU ticket inspired incompetence.
you just talk anyhow. Binance existed in 2015. Clow

Assuming you don't earn any income and someone comes to you and accuse you of evading tax and money laundry? Wouldn't you think that the person making the accusation is crazy?
What's your argument?
Are you saying binance and it's subsidiary apps aren't earning from every transaction and moving money out of the Nigerian economic system?

Don't argue what you are not informed about

Not only Nigeria but the whole world.
They don't have any physical headquarters yet they authorised transactions above millions.
They could run away with huge funds without trace.
Similar thing was done to wreck Fiji economy and a while back.
Yet the US have accepted them and doing business with them. Google binance US and see for yourself.
Binance US has a physical official headquarters in the US

Binance a company with no particular physical headquarters... A legitimate company having to do with money and it's similar factors ought to have a physical headquarters if it were legitimate.

Prior to the arrest of binance officials, they were pushing the narrative that binance was owned by a Chinese guy.
Make APC use tax finish them? 😂

Off point. We are talking about a foreign entity operating in Nigeria without due registration and payment of required taxes and you are talking off point. You can't sell ordinary bread in advanced economies without due registration and payment of taxes.

I saw one clown mention MTN 2.0 up there.

It's just unfortunate that the government loves wasting the time and resources of the country.

I'm wondering how they want to collect the so-called damages from a company that has no presence in the country.

If there were actually smart, they'd have cajoled them to officially set up their presence in the country and they try to get this illegitimate damages.

Fortunately, they are not as smart as they believe. They forced binance to technically withdraw their services from Nigerians.

A fool will always blame everyone else for his inadequacies, so I'm not surprised.
So you are smarter than all the lawyers in attorney general's office. You don't know that if the government wins the case they can use the judgement to pursue binance assets all over the world.

I don't know much about this but I know FG won't go this extent without any reason, I also believe there is no smoke without fire and I will always be on the side of Nigeria government. God bless Nigeria

Lol......you must be a simpleton to assume that the lawyers/attorneys in the Ministry of Justice are so smart they can not make errord of judgement in filing a case.....have you read about Nigeria vs Eni/Shell where Nigeria lost $936m due to poor analysis pedestrian presentation of a corruption case by the Nigerian government?

This is at best, a push back on the Binance guy who has been spewing their secrets lately ti the point of embarrasment.

Let us see where they will file the case(Nigeria or US?), that's when you will know that all these na initial gragra. Anyone who is serious about filing such a case with an enormous figure would have gone ahead to do it now instead of coming to the press to forewarn your enemy.

I am sure the Binance dude will be laughing off his head now. He knows the Nigerian govt does not have the gut to take them to court unless they want all their dirty linens in the mud

Did you also read the news? How can you pay tax on a service that was offered for free. Yes! Binance P2P was free. You could buy or sell your crypto there and there was no transaction fee on the P2P. The money laundering charges is even more silly. P2P means Peer to Peer, meaning that Obi has 1 million naira and advertises that he wants to buy bitcoin at 600 naira per dollar, Kayode has $100 bitcoin and sells to Obi, Obi takes the $100 bitcoin and set his sell price at 650 naira per dollar, Hassan then contacts Obi and buys the bitcoin at 650 naira. Thats how Peer to Peer works. So the question is how is money laundered here? Remember that everyone mentioned here has a naira account, else they can't buy or receive money. So in reality the money stays in Nigeria and just circulates between Obi's bank, Kayode's bank, Hassan's bank. Their case is laughable
Even a layman can clearly see how this is a perfect arrangement for easy money laundering.
Also, binance could make P2P a free transaction platform but that's business transaction without tax payment while our money exchanges hands. You might have used example of ordinary money exchanges but I can be seen here that purchases worth millions and billions of naira could be happening here without tax payments (otherwise known as economy sabotage). Whoever provides such your P2P platform operating in an economy is killing that economy. America was right to ban binance operations in their economy and you still think FG is wrong to accuse them of economy sabotage? And you also said and I quote;
"How can you pay tax on a service that was offered for free"? Do you honestly believe binance is not making money from transactions happening on its platform?
To be honest I don't know much about binance operations but looking at what you said above, any average lawyer will take you to the cleanser

Its owned by Chiapeng Zhao , and he's cooling of in US prisons after paying heavy fines and stepping down as CEO
If Americans could do that, we can also do all the above.
Binance really did naira a disservice
How can you be trading naira on a crypt exchange without approval
I know cos I also did the trade several times not knowing the kind of economic sabotage it was

It's a simple analogy. If we are all taxed by Binance for using its markets or crypto, they should also pay taxes to our various countries. It's a huge crime to evade taxes in a country you currently operate in.

We keep embarrassing ourselves!

How can you tax something you banned!

We could purchase crypto with our cards before the governor without a state banned it and you had to hide crypto related words in transfer reference else you account will be blocked.

We resorted to P2P since crypto was officially barred and now the FIRS want to charge backlog of taxes and penalties.

Clowns!! They want to divert the attention from the bribe request. Thieves

I was surprised no one made the bold statement. The suit is just to prevent the binance guy from exposing them further. The guy was beginning to reveal too much & I knew they were going to come up with something like this to shut him up. Shameless government.

That didn't mean he didn't do prison time

And Mr know it all, you didn't dispute my assertions so it's you who dont know nothing.

I know people that benefitted from the sabotage will be furious but we can't allow a few greedy mofos damage our economy, if you belong to that group , to hell with you

Not sure you checked your facts before commenting. America never ban binance, infact binance has a large customer base in the US and is doing well over there. A simple google search would have saved you from typing in ignorance. Google Binance USA, the search result is www.binance.us, that is the trading platform for Americans. Binance got a license to operate in the US. If you claim that P2P is killing the economy then olx.com and other Peer to Peer trading platforms should be closed too. How can you pay tax on a service that was offered for free"? Do you honestly believe binance is not making money from transactions happening on its platform? I used their P2P, they offerred the P2P service for free.No charges, nothing. What is there to tax? Is Nigeria smarter than Ghana, and over 100+ countries allowing binance to operate their P2P? The fun part of every court case is the burden of proof, Nigeria has the burden of prrof to show that Binance made billions from the P2P service which my brother they can't proof. It is just a wasted effort and will only end in disgrace in court.
