Galambi first won bye-election under the APC in 2021 before defecting to the NNPP before the 2023 election

A member of House of Representatives representing Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State, Mr. Yusuf Shittu Galambi has defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, to the All Progressives Congress APC.

Reading the defection letter of Mr. Galambi in the floor of the house during the Plenary, by the Speaker House of Representatives Dr Tajudeen Abbas, the defected lawmaker said he left NNPP because of the division in the party.

According to Mr. Galambi, his action was in accordance with the 1999 Constitution as Amended.

Mr. Galambi also pointed out that he joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC because of its ideology and developmental strides.

The NNPP has been facing leadership tussle which has caused factions in the party.

Please, kindly educate me on why Rivers defection is leading to their seats being declared vacant while many more has done so from other state's with no issue. Does Fubara have Special Powers other govs don't have?

Una neva seen anything yet. I predicted all these before 2023 election that apc havee come to stay and many will defect to apc but haters with no inner eyes threatened me so how market now?

Since Gej was not good enough for us especially we the South God now gave us apc Buharist to teach us a lesson.

Seriously, I will support Tinubu again in 2027 and he will win massively. Southern Nigeria must learn in hardway.

More will join apc and they will rule till 2038 undeter.
