David Hundeyin reacts to Valentine Ozigbo joining APC

'These are the things I look at and I get very emotional.

Because if our privileged people who can afford to stand on principle are stuck in survival mode, then what can anyone expect of those of us who struggle to eat and pay rent?'

The Hypocrisy of the Obedient Movement: A One-Way Street of Political Convenience

The Obedient family of the Labour Party (LP) has once again exposed its glaring hypocrisy. For a group that parades itself as the face of "new Nigeria," their actions reek of the same political double standards they claim to detest. When a politician defects to LP, he is hailed as a hero, a visionary, a patriot who has finally "seen the light." But the moment someone leaves LP for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or any other party, the same people who once cheered him turn into rabid attack dogs, spewing venom and branding him a sellout.

The latest victim of their selective morality is Valentine Ozigbo, who recently joined APC. The same Obidients who once sang his praises when he was with them have now unsheathed their daggers, calling him names and questioning his integrity. But wasn’t it this same movement that celebrated every politician who abandoned their former parties to join LP? When APC or PDP members cross over to LP, they are suddenly absolved of all their past sins. But if the reverse happens, it is treason.

This is nothing but blind fanaticism, wrapped in self-righteousness and devoid of political maturity. You claim to be different, yet you behave just like the old political establishment you claim to despise. You praise those who echo your sentiments but vilify anyone who dares to disagree. That is not democracy; that is dictatorship disguised as activism.

The Obedient movement needs to decide what it really stands for. Is it about good governance, or just about Peter Obi? If it's about Obi alone, then just say so and stop pretending to be champions of a new political order. But if it’s about principles, then apply those principles consistently. Until then, the hypocrisy will continue to stink.

I am more afraid that there might be "NO ELECTIONS" come 2027.

Whatever is attracting all these Men to the APC is definitely not in the interest of the masses.

This is a matter of serious concern.

It's politics without ideology, people go to the party that controls the money and security apparatus needed to rig and win elections.
It's a pity that some people spend all their days jere discussing ans defending Nigerian politicians
Re: David Hundeyin Reacts To Valentine Ozigbo Joining APC by Pickieox(m):
It's such a big shame. Reports reaching me now is that APC are already to unleash violence in the next general election. Their physical thugs and online thugs are getting ready for the mayhem they are about to unleash. Don't think it's too early to start. One of the things they are ready to do is cause division among the people with their usual rhetorics of tr!bal wars with the commencement of sending most Igbos in Lagos packing from Lagos. Why do you think those properties in Lagos are being demolished. Why are the Igbos building mostly affected in Lagos? Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Thiefn00bu will fight dirty, tooth and bl00d to win 2027 election. This is a clarion call for people to prepare for what is ahead.

We warned people back then since 2014 that APC never mean well for Nigeria. We warned them about Buhari. They failed to listen. We warned them about Tinubu, a disaster of the century. The Yorubas among us call me ọmọ ale meaning bast@rd because I didn't
support a big thief from my tribe. Now, is the final chance to redeem our image and fight the collective criminals in charge of Thiefn00bu that plunder our commonwealth.

"I started following Tinubu’s politics way back when I used to go to the post office in Onitsha to read newspapers and magazines. In the early 2000s.

I was in secondary school then.

One thing that stood him out back then was the fact that he ran a no-dissent politics, more or less a one-party state.

The only serious challenger he had all the time he held away as Lagos State emperor was Funsho Williams.

Immediately, Funsho was taken out by unknown gunmen that we don’t know who sent them, as they are yet to be arrested to date. He solidified his grip on power and Lagos politics and has not looked back since that time.

There is a reason why Lagos PDP is dead and in a state of comatose; it was not an accident. Tinubu wants it that way because that's how he plays his politics.

The only time Lagos PDP had a sign of revival was in 2014 under Goodluck Jonathan.

That revival enabled the party to win House of Assembly seats and House of Representatives seats in Lagos State in 2015. .

Tinubu, the emperor of Lagos State, was obviously upset and furious.

In the meeting that ensued after the 2015 elections, he obviously lampooned his lieutenants in APC Lagos, and he made his displeasure known to them.

There was no reason for PDP to have a foot hold in Lagos, he roared as the Jagagban of Lagos state

I want the seats that Lagos PDP won back to APC in 2019, and this assignment must be delivered.

Just as he instructed

The seats were won back by APC Lagos in 2019.

That is Tinubu's style of politics; he brooks no opposition and does not tolerate dissent.

Little wonder, he has introduced his Lagos style of leadership to the Nigerian polity; Nigeria is about to turn into a one-party state.

Everybody in Nigeria is moving into APC; Val Ozigbo just joined them today.

It is also the same reason that the two major opposition parties, the Labour Party and PDP, have been heavily fragmented and divided since 2023.

Because that is how Asiwaju plays his politics; more or less a divide-and-rule tactic by him, to maintain his strong grip on power.

A divided opposition is Tinubu’s gain, and he wants it that way, and he is ready to do anything to see that the opposition parties are in disarray.

No amount is too small for him to spend to maintain the status quo because that is who he is and how he plays his politics.

Politics of divide and rule.

If Nigeria is to be rescued from the powerful grip of Asiwaju and from the one-party state that the man is taking the country to,

The job and the onus lie on the fragile shoulders of Atiku and Peter Obi.

They need to take the coalition and merger conversation seriously and get this over the line before the end of the year.

We are in desperate times; Nigeria is in a precarious situation.

Nigerians are desperately looking up to them to save them from the hands of APC.

But if they think it does not matter and then decide to run separately again in 2027 as we saw in 2023, it is bye-bye to Nigeria as the barbarian at the gate will enter the city and fully take charge.

You can insult me, but facts are stubborn and do not care about your emotions."

When I say dis guy no 2 smart, people go start dey talk nonsense.... People don't jst defect because they're hungry... Is Peter obi a poor man? No, yet he moved from Apga to pdp and to LP, don't forget when obi moved to the pdp, pdp was the most corrupt party in Africa.... Yet he moved.... And he also moved from a smaller party Apga to a bigger one, for recognition and to be politically relevant.....

So what's wrong if valentine is trying to follow obi's footsteps?

Critical question.

It is the reason I sometimes cut a slack for the average citizen who choose to worship the scums in the murky water of politics.

It's not like they have too much of an option with the odds stacked against them.

In the end, they all seem right but at what cost? 🤔

Until we understand that politics is a huge game and a vehicle to governance we will not stop worrying about defections.

Politics is a game of number, so they need to align to have the numbers.

Nearly all politicians including Peter obi, and Gbadebo have defected at a point.

We have got to stop being emotional and stressed about defection because no one wins in isolation.

Know that APC is not the problem, but people[Nigerians] in APC.

APC =PDP=LP= there's.

Wasting of time. In Nigeria of present political dispensation which politician has principle and which political party is built on principle, None. That is why nobody should kill or be killed because of politics in Nigeria. In Nigeria politics there's no permanent friend or enemy, it's permanent interest.

Even the guy who wrote this is because of his interest in a particular candidate and party.

It's very obvious now that Obi was heavily settled to reduce Atiku's votes in the SE and SS.
