Well...the rest of Nigeria doesn't really mind. Never ever forget that the entire Nigeria Governors Forum fought against some key elements of the tax reform bill (the bill is one of the very, very few things BAT seems to have gotten right). Nigeria's governors (to the last man) are strongly in favour of retaining the current arrangement for VAT proceeds distribution - including that dubious, regressive 50% "equality" clause.

Your governor supports the status quo. That is the unfiltered, unvarnished truth.

If ever there was a time to take a position on fiscal federalism - this was it. What did Nigeria's governors (both Northern and Southern) - your elected representatives - what did they do?
