Truth is that no Igbo man is a billionaire. There are just so many Igbo multimillionaires in their hundreds of thousands if not millions. A millionaire is anyone worth more than 1.5 billion Naira to under 1.5 trillion Naira. Only few Igbo men are worth up to 200 billion Naira and above and that's the Tony Elumelus, Arthur Ezes, Orji Kalus, Orjiakos etc

I'm proud of being one of the multimillionaires of Igbo extraction right from my 20s

Fake list.
I can mention 10 people from onitsha main market and ladipo int'l spareparts richer than them
how can a retailer be richer than the owners of the company. Most igbos are retailers , that’s the reason they cannot be on this list.

Ignorant statement. Lol.
Do you know how much people make abroad from after graduating 3-4 years apprentices system, unlike the 15 years slavery system in alaigbo. Even in Nigeria, the apprenticeship system is not slavery unlike that of the Igbo that is similar to slavery. grin
The igbo apprenticeships system is usually between 4 to 6yrs and is guaranteed in most cases….it has proven to be successful that is why it’s still in practice!

You could spend 50 yrs on nairaland hating on the igbos and still achieve nothing!

How you decide to share wealth or groom youngsters into wealth in your tradition is your own cup of kunu and I careless about the opinion of an anonymous user on a faceless forum!

Where are the Anambra billionaires 😹
Igbos are not interested in that.
Even in politics, they get no interest. Some recently started going into it.

When Igbo man starts declaring his wealth, jealousy, witch hunting and all manners of bad belle will start.

quota system list!!
Some people want to massage their ego by highlighting/bolding names of quota system beneficiaries!

Wealth that is spread is better than wealth that is concentrated on an individual….God bless igbo apprenticeship system…

Y’all can now jump into the Atlantic.
Poor people will always have excuses.
Those Yoruba People that have 4 dollar billionaires on the list control most of the wealth and economy of Nigeria both in Nigeria and abroad.

Good to read this from someone based in the region. This was how someone accused me of lying when I challenged his belief that Arthur Eze is worth $6.5BN.

Meanwhile, Cosmas Maduka was once assessed to be worth $500M by Forbes in 2014 and Elumelu at $700M, but I cannot recall the year.

Apprenticeship system is clear sign of poverty in Igbo land. If you have children and have means, everyone knows that what you would give your children is education, not to go and live with one master for 10 years as a modern day slave.
That system too has even been corrupted that only few slaves are getting their entitlements at the end of the day, others are being chased away by their bosses, use and dump thing
Say whatever you wish, but the system was extremely useful and needed after the effects of the Civil War. And I do agree it needs to be reformed but shouldn't be outrightly condemned.

You won't understand its importance anyway.

While others are showing billionaires, Shukuebuka here is using big grammar to explain poverty.

Joblesss miserable poverty inflicted old fool, you think it is by constantly announcing your poor self that you will be able to eat twice a day. Jobless clown, keep sleeping on nairaland and deceiving yourself.

Igbos do not have multimillionaires either in dollar or naira up to Yoruba and this has been generational.
Yorubas have always been the richest Africans in the world.

When Yoruba had more than 10 billionaires in the olden days(if you want I can post them),Igbos had only Louis Ojuku and Hausa had about 3 billionaires then.
The proof that Yoruba are the richest can even be seen in comparing the 5 SE states with Ibadan city with more than 12 GRAs, numerous estates and more infrastructures than the entire Igboland.

I can post the place Yoruba dominate 97% in Lagos compared to where Igbos dominate in Okota/Isolo and one will know why people say Yoruba are the richest and most successful Africans ever.

Yoruba have the highest number of SMEs,so there is no lie that Igbos will lie or hide under except delusions that hold no water.

This list was compiled by Lagos Ibadan Expressway.

Why?

Because no Onitsha trader or Nnewi Zillionaire made the list.

Very pathetic attempt by Afonjazzies
Yoruba & Hausa billionaires no dey make noise on social media.

All over the world, only Forbes and Bloomberg rate billionaires in dollars. If there is an Igboman worth $1billion,they will surely rate him.

If I post the videos of Ibadan here now,you will know and see why Yorubas are the richest either in Nigeria or abroad.
You will never be able to see the kind of development and infrastructures in Ibadan anywhere in the entire Igboland.

Where is the boasting? I only stated the obvious while appreciating the Igbo apprenticeship system or do you have thesame ulterior motive as the OP?
You need to calm down. All the OP did was simply highlight the Nigerians on the list. It’s so simple, really.

Yorubas especially the Igbominas from Kwara (owo ni e je) have always had that system ieven before you all came to Lagos.
They just don't make noise like you do
They control building material markets in Nigeria. They don't only import most building materials in Nigeria, they are the largest Nigerian manufacturers of steel products in Nigeria.
