The igbo apprenticeships system is usually between 4 to 6yrs and is guaranteed in most cases….it has proven to be successful that is why it’s still in practice!

You could spend 50 yrs on nairaland hating on the igbos and still achieve nothing!

How you decide to share wealth or groom youngsters into wealth in your tradition is your own cup of kunu and I careless about the opinion of an anonymous user on a faceless forum!
Apprenticeship is for the poor man children and no matter what business you do,you cant be as rich as those people listed. Moreover, most of the so called billionaires traders in Onisha,Trade Fair,Alaba,Idumota are into shady deals(drugs, fake drugs, fraud, kidnapping). They are just using business as a cover.

Truth is that no Igbo man is a billionaire. There are just so many Igbo multimillionaires in their hundreds of thousands if not millions. A millionaire is anyone worth more than 1.5 billion Naira to under 1.5 trillion Naira. Only few Igbo men are worth up to 200 billion Naira and above and that's the Tony Elumelus, Arthur Ezes, Orji Kalus, Orjiakos etc

I'm proud of being one of the multimillionaires of Igbo extraction right from my 20s
Billionaire in Naira or US dollars?!
Elumelu, Ovia, Eze, Kalu, Obi Jackson and Orjiako are multimillionaires in US dollars

Orji Uzor kalu is richer than most in the list.
Only Davido is richer than Orji Kalu,a politician, not to talk of the other Yoruba Musicians who are the richest in Africa.

Yoruba Nollywood practitioners are also the richest. They are always grossing the highest everytime..

Even Yoruba churches and pastors are the richest in Africa and some of the richest in the world.

Even their sportspeople,Universities,lawyers,doctors...in ICT,they have the highest UNICORN in Africa not even Nigeria and they are the richest.
Pls,I don't see any competition in Africa even in Northern Africa.

Billionaires don't need to show off- the records are there! The index relies on a mixture of public and private data, like stocks, real estate, and businesses, minus debts and liabilities. They use derived/reported information that is valued with comparisons to public competitors. You can't hide billions
Well said.

You meant to write: "NO Igbo person is a USD billionaire." It's highly irresponsible for some random bloggers and YouTubers to mislead the public by referring to unknown Igbo people with "questionable" sources of income as "billionaires" when these are just USD millionaires or multimillionaires (assuming they are legitimate and not into criminal enterprise).

Based off of the Forbes ranking of legitimate global billionaires and the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, if you're NOT rated on those two lists worldwide, then you're NOT a legit USD billionaire.

The remaining folks below that legit global ranking of USD billionaires are the USD millionaires and USD multimillionaires. Period.

Igbos do not have multimillionaires either in dollar or naira up to Yoruba and this has been generational.
Yorubas have always been the richest Africans in the world.

When Yoruba had more than 10 billionaires in the olden days(if you want I can post them),Igbos had only Louis Ojuku and Hausa had about 3 billionaires then.
The proof that Yoruba are the richest can even be seen in comparing the 5 SE states with Ibadan city with more than 12 GRAs, numerous estates and more infrastructures than the entire Igboland.

I can post the place Yoruba dominate 97% in Lagos compared to where Igbos dominate in Okota/Isolo and one will know why people say Yoruba are the richest and most successful Africans ever.

Yoruba have the highest number of SMEs,so there is no lie that Igbos will lie or hide under except delusions that hold no water.
grin leave those empty noise makers to there delusion grin we have told them severally that Ibadan alone is more developed and economically viable than the whole 5plot of barren land grin

That’s just in fairness without adding Lagos grin Lagos and Sw region is like sugar, that keeps attracting ants from barren SE grin btw proudly lagos

Apprenticeship system is clear sign of poverty in Igbo land. If you have children and have means, everyone knows that what you would give your children is education, not to go and live with one master for 10 years as a modern day slave.
That system too has even been corrupted that only few slaves are getting their entitlements at the end of the day, others are being chased away by their bosses, use and dump thing
Mumu you talk about what you know nothing about, can you show us the poverty index of all the region in Nigeria. you wasted 22yrs in school when you come out your first letter is "I beg to apply" mumu
