hello folks, I need you guy's input on this. I have 3× 550w Jinko panels with a 12v battery from Va.lto and a 2kv sunfield hybrid inverter, I don't exceed 510w from the PV even during peak sunshine. Most times to get 400w+ I'd have to off and on the inverter. It is always around 260w.
And the panels surface are clean. I was expecting at least 1000w input from the PV or is the connection faulty?

For sunny period I dey see 500w, what about rainy season, how man go survive? undecided

Have you confirmed if the sunfield is inbuilt mppt or pwm?

There are several fake mc connectors and dc fuse/breakers. That being said, there are better guaranteed ways of twisting wires after which one now make use of connectors with screws for maximum firmness. Then Wrap tightly with insulation tape. One person's error shouldn't be generalized though. However, If you have access to all shapes of original connectors, no qualms.
Okay....thanks

We have good people here. If you don't understand, I'm sure many will provide further clarification. It's a DIY thread, also doing a lil research to understand terms won't hurt. Cheers.
Some acronyms used here are never explained on Google...

I need a recommendation on an hybrid inverter that is around 6 - 8kva and can take up to 7000w of panels

Do you think it's not working as it should?

are your panels connected in series or parallel?

Good morning my Gurus in the house
Please does anyone here experience a freezer not freezing with an inverter but always freezes when there is NEPA or Gen set is on. The freezer only gets cold despite being on for 6hrs to 7hrs. But with Nepa or Gen within 3hrs it will start freezing.
The Freezer is Thermacool. It is a 24v setup. 2.56kwh Cworth Battery, 3kva 24v SAKO inverter and 4pcs of 590w Jinko Solar panels connected in series. Thanks in anticipation

To troubleshoot further, you might want to:

Measure the voltage at the inverter terminals when attempting to start the freezer.

Check for any signs of wear or damage in your inverter and battery connections.

Test your freezer with another known good inverter, if available.

Your installer didn't know what he was doing. All the panels should be in one single series to take advantage of your MPPT.

U harsh ooo.

Truth be told hybrid is the easiest to install. For you to be here has already made you an installer. There is nothing in obeying terminal rules. What exactly is the fear that will make someone pay another person for what anyone can do easily especially a 12v system?

Just tell the next installer you want it in series. They'll know what to do. When it's done, check your MPPT input voltage, you should be getting about 135v during the day.

Darey00:
Good morning wonderful people.

I stumbled on this thread and its been educative even though i no understand most of the big terms thrown around lol grin

So i have a small problem or should I say dilema.

My setup:
Battery: Tubular 200Ah, 12V (new) -- Brand is Kartel
Inverter: 1500W, 12V (Sukam Falcon, Pure sine wave)
Solar Panels: 2 × 300W (600W total).

I dont know much about the charge controller but I will attach a picture to help guide whomever is answering.

Load:
Fan - 125 W
TV - 60 W
Laptop - 39W
5 LED bulb lights

I used the battery from Friday evening to Sunday early morning cos our light wasn't good (low voltage). Throughout Saturday from morning till about 5pm i was using TV and the fan whilst charging via solar. At night i used the fan alone till morning.

The battery was low (11.0v) and started charging again via solar around 8am. I plugged a phone and the fan before unplugging everything around 12pm. By 3.30 pm I plugged the fan and lights before unplugging at 5pm. I powered it on by 7pm and within 15 minutes I got a battery low notification to reduce load at 14%. TV and fan plugged. The voltage had dropped from 11.9 to 11.5v too.

I had to switch off the TV and maintained a 003% load to use 11.3v till the morning. On Monday when I got home around 6.30pm I found that it's just 12v on the controller and sure enough, after plugging the TV, it started screaming after 30 minutes.

Now my question is: is there something wrong with the setup?

I got the setup last December and I'm sure of the battery's performance with PHCN for at least 16 hours with average load. Also, my compound borders a storey building that casts a shadwo around 3.30pm so I'm sure that also counts.

Someone suggested i got an mppt controller. Help me guys. I'm fine with normal battery charge but i feel I'm not getting the best out of my solar setup.

Attached is the controller
From my personal experience bro,get yourself Mppt cc and add more pannels. Bro NEVER EVER USE PWM!!!
