Foreigners I know who spend more cash are Yankee people and a few from Canada. 1k pounds is 1k pounds and it is limited to the power of what it can do in the UK.

1k pounds here has value just like you said, but how many Londoners have that in savings to come spend here frivolously? They don't save such money at once over there except you into some kind of exceptional jobs or illegal biz. It takes time to accumulate it too.

Monthly billings wey dey take money for oyinbo land no be any body's mate. Most money made, after tax are only available for basic needs, firstly over there where they are living, before even thinking of enjoyment or investments here in their homeland.
