Since Former head of state, General Ibrahim Babangida launched his auto - biography, in which he gave his own account of what transpired on January 6 1966. Igbos and their supporters from other ethnic groups have suddenly found their voices again, in their perennial quest to distort history and avoid taking responsibility for what was obviously a brutal ethnic agenda. The determination to grandstand for over 60 years on this issue will never make sense to me. I mean, what does this generation of Igbos have to lose, if they simply dissociate themselves from whatever happened in the 60s, including the civil war? I mean, many of you weren't even born then, why decide to defend what is undefendable, if such word exists. The major political casualties of the coup were entirely from other ethnic groups, not a single igbo politician was assassinated. That must be the oddest coincidence in the history of mankind. And to cap it all, they were all literally shot dead by middle ranked igbo officers. Those that are claiming that the coup had some Yoruba leaders in it, how come none of the Yoruba officers got the almighty assignment of actually doing the killings. In my opinion, the other guys were just there to make up the number. The actual actors were the Nzeogus of this world. Now, let's look at the killers: Nzeogu - killed Sardauna Ifeajuna - killed Balewa Nwobosi- killed Akintola and Arrested Fani Kayode Anuforo- killed Maimalari Nwatuegwu- killed Okotie Eboh.... When it was time for the northern military officers to unleash a counter coup, they went straight to the Igbo element within the military, including the head of state, General Agui Ironsi, they didn't target the Yoruba. They knew the people who did the January coup and why they did it. The northerners served the revenge 6 month after, before anyone had the chance to re - write history. All these denial, 60 years after is just attempt in futility. The end will always justify the means. |

Rufai Oseni is trying to impress his IBo paymaster by playing the self-deprecation card.and humiliated his tribe. I laugh in Swahili. Unbeknownst to him, the average Ibo looks at every Yoruba with the same hatred. The assassination of Zacharia Ma Maleri by Ifeayin Ifajuna, as well as the assassination of the then-premier of the northern region by Kaduna Nzogwu and other political and military dignitaries from the western and northern regions, did not convince Rufai Oseni that it was an Ibo coup. Now, tell that buffoon Rufai Oseni to list the Ibo dignitaries, whether soldiers or politicians, who were massacred in the gory incident.... If he can name three Ibo people, I will believe him. |

No matter how people try to rewrite the history, the truth is everywhere. |

Every account on this issue has clearly said it wasn't an igbo coup yet AGENDA MUST AGEND ABI? IBB said MKO won that election fair and square.. you went mute. IBB said the 1966 coup wasn't an igbo coup and infact whose aim was to install Awolowo as president... fiam, una preeq don rise, masturbation don start as una hear igbo 😂 Listen, lies will run for thousands of years ahead but the truth will catch up in a second. The earlier you all realise that NIGERIA CAN NEVER... AND I MEAN NEVER MOVE FOWARD AS LONG AS YOU CONTINUALLY PUT DOWN THE IGBOS, DENYING YOUR GENOCIDE AGAINST THEM FOR NO GOOD REASON, NIGERIA WILL NOT MOVE FOWARD!! You are yet to realize it but Nigerias progress is stuck in 1967. You want to move foward? Revisit the events of 1967 - 1970 , and make amends otherwise FORGET IT! |
