Many of those claiming Babangida said it wasn’t a coup refer to page 39 of the book but they hide the conclusion of what he said on page 40.

Oga I read it, and again Babangida himself stated in his book that there were lots of conspiracy theories and rumors which culminated in the counter coup. The mention of northerners being cowards was never substantiated in the book by IBB, he gave these as examples of allegation and. Rumors made. You guys should stop trying to be half smart.

Pages 39 and 40 are produced below. If you stop at page 39 without reading page 40 or deliberately ignoring page 40, you will conclude or deceive people into thinking he said for definite it wasn’t an Ibo coup.

That is not what he said. He specifically said he is expressing a view which is speculative and MAY be wrong! He never claimed it as a fact!
