As a contractor I frequent Nigeria also..... So it's clear as day and night on how things are bad.... Nigeria is more expensive than some Major European country due to inflation, poor infrastructure..... So I also encourage people if avenue present itself to leave then leave.... It's beyond the money, the mental state of health is essential and majority of Nigerians just surviving are in a very bad state of health.... Church is just the professional therapist that keeps them hanging on...

The concept of converting such money to Naira is just baffling and idiotic.

You would almost think they will be earning it from Nigeria here.

Common sense won't allow them remove cost of living and taxes... Then they would realize they aren't earning anything meaningful.

It's all exploitation and nothing more.

This is a seasonal job and you probably will be living in a rural area where living would be relatively cheaper than in urban areas. Assuming they have good public transport systems, you only have to chunk a good portion of your wages for rent and utilities... you have got to forgo some luxuries and non-essentials for the duration of your stay there. You won't be paying phone bills and car insurance. It's still achievable...
