A dramatic scene unfolded today at the high court in Abuja involving Omoyele Sowore and the police. In a video posted by Sowore, police officers stationed at the court gate refused to grant him access to the premises, despite his insistence that he had a case to attend. Despite his attempts to explain, the officers stood their ground.

However, Sowore—human rights activist, Nigerian politician, and owner of Sahara Reporters—immediately resisted what he described as intimidation and harassment by the Nigeria Police and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Standing his ground, he questioned whether they mistook him for Yahaya Bello. Addressing the officers directly, he insisted that neither the EFCC nor the police were officers of the court and, therefore, had no business blocking the court entrance.

After some back and forth, the police eventually backed down, and a determined Sowore was finally allowed into the court premises.

In his post on X (formerly known as Twitter), he wrote:

"The justice system in Nigeria has been hijacked by uniformed, uncouth security agents ranging from @OfficialDSSNG, @PoliceNG, and @CivilDefenceNGR. Today, they illegally blocked the court entrance, harassing everyone just because of a thief, Yahaya Bello @officialgybkogi. The same Yahaya Bello they couldn’t apprehend for months! Even lawyers were harassed—@NigBarAssoc must put an end to this nonsense."

The post quickly garnered thousands of views, likes, and reactions.

There are so many YouTube videos showing a hysterically screaming Sowore playing a tough guy theatrical role with armed policemen.

It is only a matter of time before Sowore will confront an armed man who happens to be drunk on duty and in a bad mood.

For years, Sowore lived in America where the slightest sign of animosity toward a police officer can cost a black man his life in a hail of bullets.

Sadly, on leaving America for Nigerian shores, Sowore has repeatedly gone out of his way to establish a reputation as an arrogant hothead.

My humble prediction is that one day Sowore will be shot dead or beaten to a vegetative state by armed men in uniform in Nigeria.

A probe of the incident will be conducted by a Board of Enquiry and then a White Paper will be published while Sowore rots in his grave.

Sowore lost his mind a long time ago and became a smartly dressed lunatic with a strong death wish. Sowore just LIVES for these screaming confrontations with the police as though he is deluded enough to imagine that earning a reputation as a hot-tempered hooligan will improve the odds of him ever being taken seriously as a low-budget presidential candidate.

Someone ought to knock some sense into Sowore's bony head so he can learn that NOTHING is to be gained by shouting at gunmen.

Screaming at police officers is more than enough to get a black man shot in America where Sowore lived for years, yet he feels entitled to behave like a spoiled 3-year-old toddler because he happens to live in Nigeria among fellow blacks.

My prediction is that during one of these now numerous altercations with armed police, Sowore will be shot dead like a rat, and nobody will be prosecuted because the officers who killed Sowore will claim they mistook him for a suicide bomber who was ignoring orders to stop walking.
