A friend of mine got robbed today in Lagos and several millions of naira was stolen.
The friend boarded a bus and as the bus was going ,it suddenly diverted to an unknown destination and as other passengers were complaining that this was not where they were going,some men in the bus brought out guns and stole all the money in their possession.
They took them to ATM and withdrew money from the ATM.
Transfer were also made to an opay account at gun point .
The friend has reported to the police and they promised to do their best to recover the stolen funds.
Such a terrible situation.
The friend was with less than a year old baby when the incident was taking place as they helped to hold the baby waiting for the money.

It was very early in the morning and it seems the ATM does not have a CCTV attached to it.

Ordinary tout with broken bottle for hand will rob you in broad day light and people will walk past you without saying anything.
Is it robbers with guns that they'll come close. Even the police will find their way outta there when they see guns.
Lagos can be a terrible place when it comes to broad day robbery.
It's a good thing they weren't hurt.

That's incredibly upsetting. I really hope the police recover the stolen funds and bring those responsible to justice.

The money will be recovered. What I want to know is which skill you people use in creating write-ups without mentioning genders. All this while, I assumed it was a male friend. Lo and behold, the victim was female.

Your friend has several millions of naira and taking public bus. That is penny wise and pound foolish.

Since the transfer was to an Opay account, let Opay release the details of the person.

If they refuse, report to Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) and you will see Opay cry.

Once you enter Lagos through Lagos Ibadan express road, you try to borrow sense to be added to the little sense you're bringing from your village

There's no ATM that does not have cctv. The police should petition the bank to provide the cctv of the incident
