The damage Trump will do to their allies might be difficult to rebuild post-Trump. That's if he leaves after 4 years. Considering that he likes dictators and sit tight leaders, sing praises of them, and the fact he told Christians during his campaign that they won't need to vote again after 2024, and even joked about staying beyond 2028.

I hope he stays president beyond 2028.

Germany is more or less a colony of the U.S. with that Ramstein Air base over there. Good luck being independent. The U.K. and the rest of the so-called allies mirror the body language of the U.S. in almost everything. It is so obvious in this Trump administration, whether it is immigration policy or whatever, they eventually fall in line.

I think it is necessary we note that a Germany in its full element will crush any version of Russia. Some historians have offered an alternative perspective to the creation of NATO - one I seems to agree with. They argued that NATO was established in part to checkmate Germany and not just Russia per say.

Africa will be the greatest beneficiary of this cold war between US and EUROPE.
That is if the leaders of Africa are wise enough to see the huge opportunity this rift between US and EUROPE creates for them and if they are patriotic enough to exploit it for the benefit of the continent.

In case it’s a genuine question, RUSSIA. Without US protection, Russia would have scattered the EU. They would have invaded the tiny Baltic States. Russia still wants to exercise influence over the former Soviet states, which have all joined the EU. Putin still hurts over the disintegration of USSR and loathes that former member States are forming alliance with the West.

Russia is too small to scatter, it can only scatter those states like Finland and poland close to it, country like Germany can defeat Russia comfortable in a one one war. Europe is largely unstable and without an central government to act as a protector they might turn on each other thereby leading to a world war.
