Most of you from the eastern part of the country are mongrels that thrive on wickedness and calling white , black. This same shallow mentality and stupidities of your forefathers that nearly got your region into extinction, if not for the timely intervention of other enlightened region that interceded in your case out of pity and mercies.
You are comparing an election that was won across the countries, confirmed by the legal electoral authority of the country to obi’s election that came third ?? I don’t understand , the second position ,PDP, did not do obi’s bad but the FIRST position did obi bad? The same obi that was rejected in southwest and virtually all part of the North for his religion based campaign?Enviness will continue to make you obi people reason like goats. You wonder why God supported the genocide against you?
Na you get time. Those vermins are to be ignored. The man who came 2nd is not even disturbing our air space but it’s the distant 3rd position dunce that thinks he was the rightful winner. A delusional person who had almost zero presence in the North believes southern Christian’s’ votes alone could make him president grin hence his resort to religion-based rhetoric. This werey should go ask Buhari what happened to him prior 2015. Buhari dominated the entire northern hemisphere’s votes and despite being more than 3 times bigger than the highest votes that delusional being could get in the South, it was still not enough to make him president until he sought full Southern Nigeria’s support.
They are too alien to reasoning and common sense to understand that to win Nigeria’s presidential elections, you have to have solid presence in both the North and the SW. if either of these two regions is against you, it’s practically and mathematically impossible to win.

Chukwudi4naija:
That abrakabra election you are believing the positions. Did Obi not win Rivers State and altered by INEC. The same way he won other States, but was manipulated. Your sentiments wouldn't let reason properly. The election that the only evidence (IREV) of transparency was suspended, you wholeheartedly support. If the election was truly won by Tinubu, let history be kind to you, but if otherwise, let your destiny be thwarted and in penury you and your family will forever fall into
Tinubu won the election with about 2.7m votes against Atiku. What is the total number of valid votes in Rivers? Even if you give him 100% of votes from Rivets, he will still not come second. You guys are just delusional and emotional.

I voted Atiku in that election, so this is not about Tinubu. Stop spreading these lies to the upcoming generation.

There are two other states where you guys alleged that you won and were rigged out. Now take 100% of the votes in those states and add it to Obi, he still will not win. So again, how did he win the 2023 election?

We've never had a free and fair election since 1999, either due to over voting, ballot box snatching, violence, etc. 2023 is not different from other elections in our democracy. It is only an issue because an Igbo candidate was over hyped that he could win and he came a distant third as expected.

I'm from Central North and Obi won my state. In that case, election was free abi? The same state that PDP didn't even come second. Same PDP came second in the governorship election.

Any state Obi won, election was free and fair,
Any state he didn't win, Tinubu rigged election.

What kind of mentality is this?

And yes, amen to your prayers about me. I don't do sentiments or emotions. I deal with facts

**The June 12, 1993 Presidential Election Annulment: Political Dynamics and Military Intrigues**

The annulment of Nigeria’s June 12, 1993 presidential election was shaped by a web of competing political interests and military power struggles. Central to the crisis was an unwritten agreement between General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) and General Sani Abacha, both northern military elites and longtime allies. Their pact reportedly entailed alternating control of Nigeria’s leadership, a arrangement that underpinned their mutual efforts to retain power. Abacha’s decisive role in foiling the 1990 coup attempt by Major Gideon Orkar, for instance, was driven by his ambition to secure his own path to power. His influence within the army, particularly among northern officers, solidified his position as a kingmaker and protector of IBB’s regime.

**The Ill-Fated Transition to Civilian Rule**
IBB’s decision to hold the June 12 election—widely regarded as Nigeria’s freest and fairest—was later revealed as a strategic ruse. The military regime, under the guise of democratization, had anticipated a manageable outcome. However, the landslide victory of Moshood Kashimawo Abiola (MKO), a Yoruba business magnate, disrupted their plans. Abiola’s broad national appeal and perceived independence threatened entrenched interests, including northern traditional rulers and political elites who viewed his rise as a challenge to their hegemony. His popularity became an “unswallowable bone” for the military, which had no intention of ceding power.

**Military Factions and Internal Power Struggles**
By 1993, the Nigerian Army was fractured into three factions:
1. **The IBB Faction**: Focused on preserving Babangida’s authority while navigating an exit strategy.
2. **The Abacha Faction**: Based in Lagos and loyal to Abacha’s ambition to succeed IBB.
3. **The Dogonyaro Faction**: Led by General Joshua Dogonyaro, a junior officer with his own leadership aspirations.

As pressure mounted, IBB tasked Dogonyaro with negotiating a resolution with Abacha’s camp. This move enraged Abacha, who saw it as an insult—Dogonyaro was his junior in rank and a potential rival. Abacha’s faction sabotaged the mission, deepening the rift. Dogonyaro’s subsequent proposal to hold new elections within three months further alarmed IBB, who interpreted it as a veiled coup plot.

**IBB’s Calculated Exit and Abacha’s Ascendancy**
IBB, wary of Abacha’s unpredictability and the risk of a bloody coup, abandoned plans to handpick General John Shagaya as his successor. Instead, he orchestrated a transitional Interim National Government (ING) led by Ernest Shonekan, a civilian figurehead. IBB understood the ING was a temporary shield; Abacha’s overthrow of Shonekan few months later confirmed this calculus. The transition allowed IBB to exit “safely” while appeasing military factions.

**Civilian Complicity in the Annulment**
Beyond the military, Abiola’s presidency faced opposition from powerful civilian forces. Northern emirs resented his cross-regional influence, while factions within his Yoruba homeland feared his dominance. These groups tacitly supported the annulment, prioritizing stability—or their own interests—over democratic legitimacy.

**Conclusion**
The June 12 crisis epitomized the interplay of military ambition and civilian complicity. IBB and Abacha’s pact, coupled with elite fears of Abiola’s reformist agenda, doomed Nigeria’s democratic experiment. The annulment entrenched military rule until Abacha’s death in 1998, leaving a legacy of political disillusionment.

Can you swear with your life and that of your family that Tinubu won the 2023 Presidential election without rigging?

Peter Obi won Tinubu with over 1million votes in Lagos alone, but the result was doctored to reduce the wide margin.

Peter Obi won Tinubu with over 800k votes in Rivers state alone but Wike changed the whole result.

Peter Obi won Tinubu in Benue state, same thing happened.

Peter Obi won the majority of votes cast in 2023 Presidential election, what we should have been talking about was if he got the two-third national spread or not if INEC didn't switch off the iREV portal.

Ask yourself you this senseless lying monster, why did INEC switch off iREV portal for uploading only Presidential election while that of NASS election results held same day, same time kept going through. Don't you have common sense?

Are you foolishly blind to truth?

Peter Obi won the majority of votes cast in 2023 Presidential election, what I am not completely sure of is if he got the two-third national spread or not.

I can swear with my life that Obi won the majority votes cast in 2023 Presidential election because I saw with my own eyes the magic INEC did in Lagos not hearsay, changing results to Tinubu's favor to reduce Obi's winning margin.

The whole world saw what Wike did in Rivers state, you two saw it.

Now swear with your life and that of your family that Bola Tinubu won the 2023 Presidential election without rigging.

Now you're talking.
Election was not transparent, true! But does that equate to Obi winning the election? Nobody is talking about Atiku in this whole conversation. He came 2nd, but he never said anywhere that he won the election. He only said the election was not transparent, which we all agreed. I have been hearing of "magu magu" in our election since 2003, meaning rigging has been our thing since the days of John the Baptist. I'm not saying it's a good thing, I'm saying that we can't say for sure who the true victim is between Atiku that came second, and Obi that came 3rd

Irev not functioning could mean different things.
It could mean Atiku leading and had to be manipulated
It could mean Obi leading and had to be manipulated
It could also mean Tinubu leading and had to be manipulated by Buhari (because rumours had it that Buhari was not in support of Tinubu). It also could mean some non state actors had access to the server. It could just mean different things.

All of us agreed that the 2023 election was flawed, but coming out to say Obi won is a blatant lie because there's no true figures to back it up. Lagos and Rivers states that is talked about couldn't make him winner even if he scored 100% of the votes in those states and you know it's not possible.

I voted PDP in that election, but I'm mature enough to not base my on views on cheap emotions and sentiments.

Don't base your views or judgements on only the part that favours you or your emotions. I know it's human nature, but you can learn to do better. Be circumspect.

Even judges in court hear all sides and factor in every possible scenario before they pass their judgement.

According to INEC, Tinubu won, Atiku came second.

All this talk of Obi winning should just stop already

There’s one thing you can’t take away from intelligent people—that thing is intelligence. It shows in everything they do/say. I backed up everything I said with proofs you can’t refute and that, my friend, is a sign of intelligence.
Instead of calling names and pointing fingers, why don’t you list those historical instances that warrant calling the Yorubas such?
You vermins are born and bred in envy, hate and perpetual urge to compete with those whose nature have placed above you in everywhere sphere of life (The Yorubas)
Chinua Achebe died an unhappy man as a result of the residue of hatred that built up in his heart, spleen and intestines. What issue did MKO have with Ojukwu to warrant calling for his death? Like why? What are we dragging?
What happened to trust that Azikiwe had to renege on a brotherhood agreement to go form friendship with outsiders in his quest for presidency? Our only consolation is that he got played by the northerners who are a million miles wiser than the wisest igbo man grin They played him and gave him the most ceremonial presidency in the whole of Africa. Amongst all the African Presidents at the time, he was the least influential as Balewa was the main man calling the shots 😂
Nyameree thought he could betray his brother and be trusted by the outsiders he sold him to.
Today, these historical events amongst many others have been distorted and shifted in such a way that you ediots without noble birth are trying so hard to give that ugly betrayers tag you are known for to the Yorubas and you keep parading this falsehood to make it normal. We will fight this and keep teaching you history. If you have anything more to say, pls turn to your creator and explain all the generational problems plaguing your life to him. Same treatment Tifnibu and his cabals gave to Obi in 2023 is what IBB did to Abiola in 1993, if not worst.
Same treatment APC as the ruling party in power in Imo, Edo, Kogi, Ebonyi, etc gave to the rightful winners of elections in these states, even in a democratic setting, is same with IBB's treatment in military setting.

Which one is worst? Of course, you know know the worst one. IBB's case is learning work to what APC, Tifnibu and his cabals are currently using democracy to cover up.
