El-Rufai goofed big time as a governor, he doesn't have that power you're thinking in the north, most northerners look at him as a backstabber and an extremist. That is why he has been running around and his mouth just to remain relevant. What most people don't understand is, most northerners don't like leaders that causes division among them, and that was what El-Rufai ended up doing as a governor.

The same NSA that didn't clear El-Rufai for allegedly posing a security risk to the country, cleared the former Zamfara State governor, Bello Matawalle, who is also an alleged bandits sponsor.

Tinubu is pained that El-Rufai (who he hoped on) didn't win Kaduna for him, but Wike and Akpabio (who he least expected) won their States for him. And that made the difference.

I agree with you that Tinubu is only feigning ignorance. He orchestrated it all. He's a master at maintaining plausible deniability (e.g Obasa's impeachment).

Akpabio did not deliver Akwa Ibom for Tinubu. Atiku won Akwa Ibom State (shocking right? Yet Akpabio is Senate President). The only Southsouth state won by Tinubu was Rivers (under questionable circumstances). It is disingenuous for the President to expect Elrufai to deliver Kaduna for him when Kaduna's votes were split 3 ways between Atiku (a strong Northern contender), Obi (Christian factor) and Tinubu. Despite that, Tinubu's margin of almost 400k in Kaduna is larger than his margin in at least 2 southwestern states combined. Matawale, Ribadu, Gbaja, etc did not deliver their states as well.

Tinubu did not win Lagos nor Osun, yet Lagos has the highest number of appointees and Oyetola is a sacred cow. The fact that APC senators scaled through in Lagos even reinforces the fact that Lagosians were intentional about not voting Tinubu, specifically. He was grossly unpopular in 2023 as an untested candidate with so much selling points and promise. Now that Nigerians have tried him, the verdict is out there on his performance.

Even though the North gave Tinubu 5.5m votes out of his total 8.3m, he does not need to win the North in order to win 2027. The south is still a pathway for him if he can consolidate his base, it is just a more difficult pathway. He seems to be alienating other Southern regions in favour of only the Lagos bloc of the Southwestern region. At least, Buhari was smarter by spreading his nepotism towards the entire North.

You clearly don’t understand politics. 1) Ambode does not have a political structure , he owes his rise to governor to the structure of the party in Lagos. 2) PDP has never done well in Lagos have they ever won a seat even at state assembly or house of rep level ever? Think before you post! 3) Edo is traditionally a state that swings even from the days of Awo, it swung between UPN and NPN. In this democracy it has been a PDP state more than APC so not the same as Lagos that has never been governed by any party other than AG, UPN, AD, ACN,APC which are all traditionally offshoots of AG. 4) Osinbajo fought how did that end up for him?

In politics you either have your own structure or you have a party that has a sting structure. If as a technocrat you get into power and start to beleive your own hype you will be humiliated. ElRufai will be humiliated. He already has been……do you know what it means for all state assembly members to vote against him? Do you know what it means for your state governor to reject your nomination as minister and to recall your nominee? If he was still relevant do you think that governor or state assembly member will get re-elected? ElRufai is a technocrat not a politician. He will be taught politics 101…..your ability to deliver votes determines your relevance in politics. MC Oluomo has more votes in his pocket in Lagos that ElRufai can influence in the entire North.

Every move is a political calculation. Tinubu, Nuru and Sani have made the calculation that the downside of losing ElRufai is outweighed by the upside of not having him in power. 2027 will tell who is right but right now, it is ElRufai who looks bothered!

Peter Obi is more relevant politically than ElRufai, Obi had 6m votes in the last election that were down to him and him alone. ElRufai despite being a governor could only deliver 390k votes of which probably 90% are down to the party. El Rufai cannot influence more than 50k APC voters to vote against Tinubu that would have voted for him if ElRufai was with him. Even Obi without a structure and without being an incumbent in got 300k votes in Kaduna so please enough of the overestimating of Mallam politically! Even his son refuses to back his father because he knows it is politically suicidal for him.

Well from your perspective, you may be right.
Also from my discussion with people though I didn't post it here, as early as this time 2022 I've started telling people to prepare for what we are passing through now because that man was unstoppable then. All my analysis of him come through.

Now my stand is no single politician in Nigeria now is bigger than that Stalin in Aso Rock. For him to be removed in 2027, I'm sincerely yet to see a formidable alliance that can challenge him let alone of sending him packing.

Don't forget Jonathan is a technocrat not a politician. This one is a cabal kingpin of politicians..

I know north is scheming but I'm waiting to see the momentum it will gather.

Trust el Rufai at your own risk. He is the most cunning politician and human being alive . He may even be working for Tinubu silently to break the opposition into bits and fragment them.
