1. I used 4S 100A BMS. Picture attached.
2. 3000w 12v pure sine wave inverter. Cutoff is 16.1v.
3. I used nickel strips in my build.

It can work.
Just make sure you don't charge above 15.92v

I don't think is advisable to build a pack of 24v 7s below 100a.


Recently built a pack of 24v 7s 50a.
I noticed they're always very hot whenever I charge them using a 29.2v 20a lithium charger.
Could it be the cells are bad or the charger is killing the cells?

Too too high.
Nothing kill cells than fast charging.
Fast charging no good bros. Avoid it.
Do 28.5v at 8a if ur charger is editable. Always compare ur system to a 3s. At 12v 3s 50a, I will charge at 8a max.

I don't charge above 20a in my 200ah 12v 3s backup system.

Try fill up a car radiator with a rushing water, it will only pretend to be full. Speed at times is a killer.

you are charging them at 0.4c which is high unless your cells are designed to be charged that fast

OK sir, but my charger doesn't have an editable settings, except I'll use a bulk converter to limit its amps and voltage.

I don't think they are, because they get very hot whenever I'm charging them with the 24v 7s 20a charger but charges quick.

so long it gets hot / very warm while reCharging, means you trying to pump more amps into it too fast.
Fast charging always kills the battery even if it doesn't seem to happen instantly.

Would suggest lowering the amperage of the charger.
