The renewed criticism of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai stems from the president watching his interview on Arise TV. After seeing it, the president instructed Oga Arewa and Oga SW to arrange a meeting with Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. They tried to dissuade the president from pursuing this, but he wouldn’t budge.

It will interest you to know that, the president personally reached out to Mallam twice by himself and made several attempts through intermediaries to convince him to join his cabinet. However, Mallam declined—first, because he doesn’t trust the president, and second, because he believes the president’s inner circle would undermine any efforts he makes, effectively setting him up to fail.

So, after the president’s order, Oga Arewa and Oga SW reported to Alhaja about what happened. Together, they went to the president and tried to convince him that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai lacks influence and isn’t worth the trouble. To back up their claim and show that Mallam has no real support, Oga SW hired a bunch of paid trolls from the west, while Oga Arewa unleashed a group of sellouts from the Arewa region—active on both Twitter and Facebook—to push this narrative.

So, if you’re wondering why our old allies are suddenly so vocal against him, it’s because ‘they’re caught up in a frenzy of supposed goodwill.’

My biggest concern is that our northern brother didn’t cashout like their southern counterparts in this deal 😭😭😭

I'll never support El-Rufai, no matter what. While the phrase "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" might hold true in some cases, it definitely doesn't apply to El-Rufai. His track record is marred by brutality and terrorism. The one thing we agree on is removing the clown from Aso Rock. Anyone can become president, but not that illiterate lunatic from Iragbiji.
