For example, my job doesn't allow common dreads, meanwhile, its equivalent in other places have people who wear this hairstyle without issue. Dreads or tattoos alone don't necessarily mean that a person automatically has a bad character, and not every culture views it that way.

The reason why most companies in advanced countries especially the US tolerate tattoos and dreads is because they don't want to be sued for discrimination.

A business that is paying your salary has a right to determine how you dress generally especially if you are in a role that requires interphase with clients.

You can't expect an employer to happy to employ you if you're going to be looking like a gangster and end up repulsing clients from whom the business is supposed to generate the revenue with which to pay your salary
