Fubara Should Run Rivers The Way Tinubu Governed Lagos Under Obasanjo - NCN by press9jatv(op): 2:25pm On Feb 28, 2025
The Rivers Governor, Sir Sim Fubara, KSC should have expected the kind of judgement that came from the Supreme Court today about the State House of Assembly. The Supreme Court also barred CBN from releasing monthly allocations to Rivers State. I sympathize with my brother Knight. I'm facing similar judicial bias and it's not easy.

The point is that Rivers State Government can run and run other five states comfortably without federal allocations. How much even comes from the FAAC. Rivers, Delta, Ogun, Kano, Lagos, Anambra and somehow Akwa-Ibom can run without federal fiscal allocation. Their IGR drives and sources are enormous. I'm sure that Rivers Government generates quite over N80 billion monthly outside whatever comes from Federal Government. What he needs doing is to work with the state's fiscal capacity and Rivers people will understand what he's facing and give him the necessary support.

Olusegun Obasanjo did it to Tinubu as Governor of Lagos. Tinubu told him to go to hell with his federal fiscal allocations. He ran Lagos the much he wanted and still won reelection in 2003 on the platform of the defunct ACN. So, Fubara should not bother. Rivers IGR can comfortably run Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia and Imo concurrently without feeling obtuse.

For 2027, he should scheme well and see himself winning again and overwhelmingly. He's a Rivers Governor and Rivers has many things to negotiate with. Preparation for 2027 election is just beginning. By middle of this year, the atmosphere must have charged glaringly. Impeachment of a Governor isn't easy. Once the Chief Judge of the state is not with the other people, impeaching him is an effort in jeopardy.

Run the state without federal allocation simple

At the same time make sure federal government finds it very difficult to get oil money from rivers. Because money from rivers shouldn't be shared to other states too.
Since the government is bent on biting one of the major hands that feed the nation.

That's not the main matter. The matter is that the Supreme Court has recognized Amaewule as the authentic Rivers House of Assembly speaker. So Fubara doesn't need to recognize them for them to function. What Fubara must do now, is to send the state budget to the Amaewule led Assembly and find an alternative route to handle other subsequent matters.

There are lot of idiots giving bad advice online.
At no time was Lagos allocation seized. It was the local government allocation that was seized by OBJ.

Fubara won't last 4 weeks if he fails to obey the supreme court order.
He either represent the budget or get impeached for contempt of court.
No other option.

Kids everywhere.

Even with allocation, the forces against him alone is what should get him worried, except he apologize.

Wike will continue to torment him with the Lawmakers already against him.

I am sure he won't last 6 months after this ruling if he is not extra careful.

Members of the house were with Tinubu unlike Fubara. Fubara will be impeached as soon as possible, as he has committed an impeachable offence...

Obj only stopped local govt allocation and not the entire Lagos state allocation.

Stop giving false information and comparing apples to oranges

what kind of shallow advise is this??

Obj didn't release lg allocation and not state allocation.

No governor can survive not getting allocation.

In all this is river state people that will suffer for nothing.

Both wike and fubara can go to HELL cos all Nigerian politicians are the same.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara is unbowed. Unbent and unbroken.

They should keep their allocation.

Rivers State will survive without our rights of allocation.

Meanwhile, the LGA chairmen, assembly members working for the state and other appointees of the Governor must remain.

The other camp celebrating supreme Court victory should go and prepare for 2027.

Can you see the stupid advice you are giving to someone you claim to support? So the
original LG chairmen and the State of House of assembly should be made useless because one man miscalculated shey?

When he is removed with a state of Emergency being declared in the state ( like OBJ did severally) you will be there pretending like you are not one of the clowns that gave him foolish advice

If I'm a civil servant in Rivers state, I'm ready to forgo my salary for Fubara to use the internally generated revenue and run the state. That's how Rivers people are thinking right now.

Rivers people Vs Wike.

River LG chairmen tenure already ended before election, they are only looking for extensions
