I just want to ask if it's okay not to have gotten passport stamped since January 27th. we got notification that the passport has been received at the Canada Embassy.
The passport was tracked but since showing under processing in canada.

What can be done

I submitted early in August and completed biometric on the 3rd of September, Nothing yet up till now..... Please can any one be of help

Usually does not take that long. I believe its vfs, you can chat them on twitter. That's what I did after about a week self. Although I didn't get a response on twitter but was notified for pickup within 24 hours.

Oga, please relax. If you have any personal issues, it’s better to solve them privately rather than attacking someone online. The fellow is only giving guidelines or helpful tips, and it's up to anyone to use them. Visa approval is not based on what a person says online; it’s the visa officer who decides who gets issued a visa. Most people online are just giving advice based on the law or their experience, but nobody here including me is a visa officer or registered ircc consultant, so I see no reason to attack anyone and you have been advice many time to avoid visa agent and do ur application urself!

That’s over a year now. Absolutely ridiculous!

So the work permit you have only allows you to work inside Canada, it's not a n immigration document that allow you enter Canada should you leave Canada today.

To avoid been trapped outside Canada, what you need to do is to apply for multiple entry Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) in case the one you used to enter Canada for your work permit has expired or will likely expire during your return
travel to Canada.

I agree with you to an extent but it is not impossible to get study visa for a course that is lower than the credential you already have. It depends on how you are able to convince the visa officer about your career projection based on your circumstance.

For instance my wife was completing her Masters in IT when she got admission and study permit approval for Software Quality Assurance one year certificate program because she wanted to specialize in Software Quality Assurance and we proved this from her current job with a view to her short, mid and long term goal.

So it is possible but much work is required.

Hi, As a Nigerian(your Nigerian passport is in place too): All you need is to buy a ticket. Do be aware that at port of entry, your work permit will be reviewed again ( eg pof, etc, all this questions are 50:50) and hopefully issued.Re-entry is like getting it the first time. So going is not a concern and i will advise that the reason for travelling out of canada is important, makes sense to anyone and all documents and information are intact! Thanks

I have already gotten the event tickets and want to apply for canada visa in April, but the stories I am hearing about rejection rate is alarming. Because I don't want to waste my time and money. I am worried, I don't want to add visa rejection to my record, lol. I am a content creator, don't work for anyone but myself, the event is a day event for people in my line of work. Surely, I am coming back to the UK after the event. I hope the will issue me the visa?

Just apply for a visit visa and state your intention to visit your home country. It's gonna be an express approval provided your work permit is still valid.

As a Nigerian, you don't need a visa please! Re-entry into Canada as a temporary resident should be your concern. Border service officers has authority and can cancel your visa and deny entry!

every case is different. give an elaborate explanation of your case and back it up with relevant documents. I got approval in just 10 days.
NB: Anyways, I am not ignorant of Grace and Mercy that followed my case.
