Carragher isn’t African so what’s the point giving him any bit of spotlight? Imagine these same people writing your history..

I have grown past the stage of putting emotions on issues. Emotionally weak men make worst decisions. Remove emotions so that you can see clearly. If Africa is truly doing as expected, we definitely won't be treated with contempt. The Whites see how we are suffering, don't mind being 2nd class citizens in their countries just to escape ours, poor quality in sports and other activities, our leaders borrow from them despite huge natural resources that can sufficiently transform the whole country continent and world if properly harnessed, devoid of bribery and corruption, to mention a few, yet, you still want them to respect and recognize you. On a serious note, nor be juju be that!?

Let us all (government and citizens) begin to do the right thing and see if the respect they have for us doesn't increase, until then, we should continue acting as though nothing is wrong, we are just being victimized by the "racist" Whites ...
Bro, forget all those thought of yours it will never happen. African that rely on white or anyone available for their shortcomings. No better research, no deep thinking, corruption join, selfishness( only me and my household mentality). They r the one producing and training us on every area of life, finance, medical, Tech, sports etc. Little pride we have sef na dem give us, so wtf are we going to do for ourselves. Kill rabbit?
Re: Carragher: AFCON Needs More Respect – Rio Ferdinand by membranus: 7:54am On Feb 27, 2025
The racists at it again, demeaning Africa, its people and its heritage, as if they are better than us.

Our yoke are our mediocre leaders who lack racial pride, developmental vision, passion for excellence, discipline and drive to prove that Africans are equal to other races in intellectual pursuit and inventions.

But we will soonest get there. At least one or two nations out of Black Africa.

Jamie shared a popular sentiment from the Europeans without thinking it through. Rio on the other hand spoke with sense and perspective - a rapidly declining trait in this digital age.

AFCON. is that not the same tournament where referee ended the match at 85 mins in The match between Mali and Tunisia?

"Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has said the Africa Cup Of Nations(AFCON) needs to be given the same prestige as the likes of the World Cup and other major trophy tournament."

Yeah someone should put PRESTIGE in a box and hand it to us. Hello, prestige is EARNED and not GIVEN. Whenever we start taking ourselves seriously in Africa, the world will know but for now, we are still jonsing.
You probably didn't watch the last Afcon.

No single ref/Var controversy

Euro refs ain't error free

Chelsea lost to Barcelona in the semis with 3 overlooked penalty decision in ucl

In w/Cup

England won the world cup with ghost goal

Maradona scored with his hand of god

You make great points except in your understanding of what racism is all about. Taking responsibilities for your actions does not mean wyte people will not be racist towards you. Racism does not care about your great actions because its ideology is rooted in immense hate for the non-white being, not their accomplishments.

You need to learn how to think properly.

I did not say anything on Eguavoen , so why bring him into a conversation about Poseiros competency as a coach.

Eguavoen too is incompetent, if you want to know my opinion.

Two things can be true at the same time.

But Allblack no lie at all.
It happened in the AFCON Cameroon hosted.
Referee blew full time whistle at the 85th minute but under pressure by the Tunisian side, he let play continue until the 89th minute when he blew the full time whistle again.
Tunisia players and staff wan mad for that match.
Do you think it's normal?
When they interviewed the referee later im say hot shit been dey im nyash. Who does that?
In a "supposed" world class competition.
No 90 minutes, no extra time, nothing nothing and you expect the rest of the world to take AFCON serious?

How about the referee who gave a player three yellow cards in one match during the 2006 World Cup?!
Did that reduce the credibility of the World Cup?
Jamie Carragher is a second-hand racist

Genet Rohr, Eguavoen, Poseiro, Berti Vogts are all average coaches that have no business coaching a supposedly elite team like Nigeria Super Eagles.

A solid ,dynamic ,charismatic coach who actually knows his tactics and is an accomplished serial winner is what they super eagles deserve.

Coaches in the mold of Benitez, Ancelloti, Mourinho, Gaurdiola, Simeon.

When we are able to employ coaches in that caliber, I will k ow we are ready to win.

..NFF would not have such money to pay those coaches you mentioned above..their salaries will be very huge.....Gehor rohr, perserio, Augustine eguavoen NFF were owing them arrears of salaries....so what about this current coach Chelle from Mali ..NFF just employed and appointed will he do well for super eahles

I don't know him well enough. All I k ow is that we ought to be going for the best coaches. In modern football the best coaches will triumph over average ones any day. Football has greatly evolved.

NFF ought to go to Brazil and look for a good club side coach with many years of experience and success.

..but Stephen keshi was not one of the best coaches in the world..he was an average coach but he won Nigeria the AFCON trophy in 2013 Africa nations cup and also did well for the super eagles

Keshi was an astute leader with a larger than life Charisma as the former captain and one of the very first set of Nigerians to play in an European leauge.

Contrast him with all the others and you realize that the are bland.

So his ability to motivate the players and keep.them focused on the games did him a lot of good.

And he was way better technically than all the rest..remember he was the one who qualified Togo for their first ever and only world cup.

All those Berti Vogts, Ghenet Rohr and Poseiro are not worth their salt as coaches
