Honestly, we hope that this is true. The cost of things in the market is getting out of hand. We shouldn't also blame those who doubt the impact of the government's policies. If it was 120k, and now 85k, does it make it affordable to people? While we want people to acknowledge that things are changing, we should also understand that to them, proof of change is when they can hold it in their hands and take it home without tears in their eyes. Anyway, while we wait for the prices of things to fall completely, you should at least be able to negotiate and haggle prices well when you go to the market. We recently published a guide on how to price anything very well. If you have ever felt cheated after buying anything, you should read this. https://getaitrends.com/blog/destinations/guide-to-haggling-the-prices-of-anything-in-nigeria-for-tourists-and-men/?utm_source=Nairaland |

You no this thing is easy to see, before now, with 600 naira you can buy 4 liters of fuel. That can't buy you 1 liter today So a crashed fuel price will naturally reduce cost of other items. Pls oooh. Prices of commodities haven't changed. Or tell us the markets so poor people can go buy the stuffs. |

Iamlakexide:Don't even go that route because minimum wage at 33k with previous inflation rate (not on paper) is better for workers. It is even best at 19k with the inflation rate at the time is was effective. |

If I was not in Nigeria, I would believe that price crashed. But in reality, nothing crashed. Items that increased from 2500 to 3500 from July last year to December only returned back to 3500 from whatever amount it added from Christmas season. Mudu of Big Bull Rice was 2500 mid last year, its 3500 today. Egg was 3500 mid lasr year, it's 6000 today. Groundnut oil, palm oil and every other food items increased by 50% from mid last year to December last year and still at December high |

The lower prices of goods and services is not as a result of good economic policies of the present regime. People don't have money in their pockets to buy these goods. It there4 means that the sellers may be compared to sell them at any price to recover his capital. Do you know how unsold stocks of goods in supermarkets? In order to minimize the loss, sellers are selling them at give away prices |
