By this time next year, it will be unimaginable the kind of and amount of propaganda that will be unleashed on Nigerians about this useless thoughtless policies of this regime that they will claim has taken Nigerians to economic eldorado, when the reality is different
He who feels it knows it,you won't to tell anybody they will notice it in their wellbeing, when they no longer go to bed hungry because they can now afford food

I no understand wat 30k can get you 2023 and 70k can not get it now.Pls explain
mrvitalis:
Is it that you don't have basic comprehension skills?

What 30k can get in 2023 70k can't get you today...

So before you can say price has dropped 70k should be able to get you what 30k used to get in in 2023

How this is difficult for you to comprehend is beyond me oga

Honestly, we hope that this is true. The cost of things in the market is getting out of hand. We shouldn't also blame those who doubt the impact of the government's policies. If it was 120k, and now 85k, does it make it affordable to people? While we want people to acknowledge that things are changing, we should also understand that to them, proof of change is when they can hold it in their hands and take it home without tears in their eyes.

Anyway, while we wait for the prices of things to fall completely, you should at least be able to negotiate and haggle prices well when you go to the market. We recently published a guide on how to price anything very well. If you have ever felt cheated after buying anything, you should read this.

Re: Crash In Food Prices Shows Economic Policies Working— Arewa Think-tank by TalkingBird: 5:30pm On Mar 01, 2025
You no this thing is easy to see, before now, with 600 naira you can buy 4 liters of fuel.

That can't buy you 1 liter today

So a crashed fuel price will naturally reduce cost of other items.

Pls oooh. Prices of commodities haven't changed.

Or tell us the markets so poor people can go buy the stuffs.

yes, because that time the minimum wage could somehow cope with the prices, but this una own,na wicked wage not minimum wage because its can't cope with the prices unleashed by your policies, while the elites like the polical class, the judiciary got comfortable wages and allowances

Don't even go that route because minimum wage at 33k with previous inflation rate (not on paper) is better for workers.
It is even best at 19k with the inflation rate at the time is was effective.

Nigerians will surely commend Tinubu when they see and feel the food prices coming down to levels lower than where Tinubu found them when he took over in May 2023.

Any decrease beyond this is purely lies, falsehood, and undiluted propaganda from the pit of hell
whoever you voted for will have removed fuel subsidy. So prices would rise. Get some wisdom and stop wallowing in bitterness

Re: Crash In Food Prices Shows Economic Policies Working— Arewa Think-tank by ehikwe22: 5:47pm On Mar 01, 2025
If I was not in Nigeria, I would believe that price crashed. But in reality, nothing crashed. Items that increased from 2500 to 3500 from July last year to December only returned back to 3500 from whatever amount it added from Christmas season.

Mudu of Big Bull Rice was 2500 mid last year, its 3500 today. Egg was 3500 mid lasr year, it's 6000 today. Groundnut oil, palm oil and every other food items increased by 50% from mid last year to December last year and still at December high

Sure if dollar is returned back to the original price... Minimum wage today is of far less value than 2023 may... If you compare it for highly stable items like usdt usd, gold, silver and the rest

How would u know when you have no basic knowledge of economics
You're wasting your time on that person, you can see the abysmal knowledge of ss3 Level economics that he has based on the harebrained question he asked you.

The lower prices of goods and services is not as a result of good economic policies of the present regime. People don't have money in their pockets to buy these goods. It there4 means that the sellers may be compared to sell them at any price to recover his capital. Do you know how unsold stocks of goods in supermarkets? In order to minimize the loss, sellers are selling them at give away prices
