You can't just wake up and conduct an election any day and anytime you like simply because you're governor. There are conditions that must be met before an election in this country would be seen as valid. I can't start stating all the conditions that must be met here but the law requires that 90 days notice must be given which the dictatorial governor didn't care to give. The Rivers state Electoral commission cannot conduct an election without an updated voters register and that can only be provided by INEC. But your dictator of a governor went ahead to conduct an election without obtaining that from INEC.

The man just wasted taxpayers money, and if this were to be the US he would have been impeached.

The fact that he cannot be arrested right now is because he has immunity provided by the law and the security agencies are law abiding unlike him who doesn't give a damn about the law. The man enjoys the law but disregards it with impunity.

But I tell you, the elections were conducted in the same way and with the same time frame in over 20 states.
Let's see if the Supreme Court will annul Benue, Kano and other places.
