Tech billionaire Elon Musk agreed on March 2 with a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, for the U.S. to exit NATO and the U.N.

"I agree," he wrote in response to a post from a right-wing political commentator saying "it's time" for the U.S. to leave NATO and the U.N.

The news comes after several Republican lawmakers submitted a bill on the U.S. exit from the U.N., claiming that the organization does not align with the Trump administration's "America First" agenda.

The U.S. was among several countries, including Russia, Belarus, Israel, and Hungary, that voted against a U.N. resolution at the end of February condemning Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Both NATO and the U.N. were founded by the U.S. and other victors of World War II to promote diplomacy and cooperation between nations as well as to prevent another global war.

Musk, an unelected official, currently heads the so-called U.S. Department of Government Efficiency, which has cut significant amounts of government spending, including life-saving foreign aid.

U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized fellow NATO countries for their perceived lack of contributions to the military alliance and has called for a spending target of 5% of GDP for all members.

Kyiv sees NATO membership as a crucial safeguard against future Russian aggression, but Trump said in February that Ukraine "can forget" about joining the alliance, suggesting its bid was a trigger for the war—an argument echoed by Russian state propaganda.

I think the world is being led by weak men today! It's interesting that Hamas attacked Israel, but Israeli PM gets an arrest warrant for fiercely defending his country in a war where nobody is checkmating the aggressor. The world no longer teaches people not to attack those who can beat them, the weak now take advantage of the strong.

Trump, somehow makes America a joke of a country. A stable country never leave it allies to dry in public but because of revenge that he has against Zelenlesky, he would rather let Russia win. The point is everything the do until his term expires will be undone by the next president but nobody will take this country seriously then.

Politics isn't the same as business. Governments are meant to spend without clear expectations of immediate returns or financial returns. That's politics, leadership, influence, making people's lives better and businesses to thrive.


Most Americans and Republican Americans are ignorant and dullardic, you even see them shouting "our tax dollars". Money isn't independent, it comes from enabling political environment. And US owns and mints the dollars, no country could check them.


But nonetheless, Trump being Putin's hypeman or lapdog? The US is playing with a potential USSR, and the US, after Eastern Europe may just be the USSR's first target cause Putin is sneaky, and the US had better fallen faster than pose a future problem to the USSR.

Russia will always win with or without USA . With their billions Ukraine keep losing lands , Ukraine always win on media which Russia don’t have .

The US created NATO....all Europe has been allowed along is a leach.....if the US withdraws all these we are sending men to Ukraine will change asap. What this mean is that if Russia attack these NATO countries the US will just stay out of it. Russia will roll them over...

US has the intelligence that help twart Russia moves in Ukraine in the early days....and even now US intelligence is what is keeping Russia at bay but slowly Ukrainians are being slaughtered and Russia retains about 20% of Ukraine land. That land is gone forever except a deal can be made

The World will be less safer. And rogue countries like Russia can wake up today and take over any country he likes.

There is a reason why there is NATO. The US and Western Europe coming from the effects of World War 1 and 2 swore never to allow mad people like Hilter behave anyhow again.

But it is unfortunate that in our life time,Another Hilter is almost here,together with the Russian stooge in the WH,the world just might be closer to World War 3
