Gov. Fubara directs HLGAs to immediately takeover the running of all 23 LGAs pending the conduct of a fresh election by RSIEC. Following Supreme Court judgment which invalidated the October 5th, 2024 LGA election in Rivers State, Governor Fubara in a statewide broadcast on Sunday directed outgoing LGA chairmen to handover to the heads of admin of their LGA effective Monday 3rd March, 2025. Governor Fubara said more directives and next line of action will be made known when the True Certified Copy(ctc) of the Supreme Court judgment is received..
