Breaking mudpots aka okeite abi? Since Anambra state is the economic capital of counterfeit and fake drugs in Nigeria, why can't Soludo use loan to open a pharmaceutical plant to produce even paracetamol? For everytime you quote me, I will humble you with facts that both Obi, Obiano and now Soludo are dunces. You are just high on some tribal shit. Bestmanfornow: |

You are as short sighted as your leaders. No difference between you at all. It serms Anambra people were born 2 suffer because no matter how they enlighten you, you prefer darkness. You are still talking about distribution. Billionaire, what about production of the drugs? Don't you know that buying those drugs you are sending money to the producer? Why not producing and distributing? You sef see say u no get sense at all. Even your Obi is saying production everyday, but as the biggest hypocrite existing in Nigeria since 1990, he is one of the biggest importers in this country, but he is shouting busy daily screaming from consumption to production from pillar to post with that his mad man adviser and oxymoronic tribalists like you meanwhile your Obi does not produce even the toothbrush he uses to brush his teeth talkless of toothpick. Bestmanfornow:Oga all that one is story. If the contribution of trade was as high as you think, it would reflect in your IGR. What is your IGR? What is the turnover of those indigenous industries and markets? What your IGR shows is that you are attracting low quality investors and residents. Figures don’t lie. People are talking about billion dollar investments this one is talking about markets. You have the largest market in Africa well done, how much do they contribute to IGR, like I said One company in my state contributes more than your entire state’s IGR…..read that again and let it sink in….. just one company. All your indigenous and 38 largest markets in Africa is not equal to 1 company in my state. You are atttracting low quality investors, investments and residents. You are attracting low quality businesses because you don’t have the infrastructure to attract the big boys. |

casualobserver:If you are not dumbo you should know IGR doesn't measure economy, Anambra reduce their tax to encourage indigenous investments, Anambra economy is 90% control by Indigenous you can't say the same in your state, GDP measure economy not IGR or VAT I wonder when you guys go get sense? Show me anywhere in economics where they use IGR or VAT to measure economy |

casualobserver:Common sense is far from you I swear 😭😭 Trade contributes more to Nigeria's GDP than the industrial sector, with the services sector (which includes trade) being the dominant contributor to the country's overall economic output. Use your Google otondo |

Bestmanfornow:Oga you are just daft and shortsighted. 1 million okada riders earning 100k a month is 1.2trillion annual GDP but they are of no value to a state because by law they provide no taxable income. Whereas 10 high value employees earning a combined 1billion a year pay N210m in income tax to the state. If your state cannot attract the kind of companies that have employees that can pay those levels of taxes then your GDP is just story for the gods. GDP that does not translate to revenue for the state or country is meaningless for development. Agriculture may be our highest contribution to GDP but most of them are poor farmers who don’t pay taxes, on the contrary they suck resources from the govt in the form of agricultural aid, seeds, farm equipment, fertilizer tractors, extension aid etc. 1 large scale agric entity like presco, okumu, or Olam contribute more in taxes than 1 million small scale farmers. That is why the quality of the “GDP” matters. You can have 1 million farmers in a state with combined GDP in the trillions but the government will not get a single penny out of any of them in taxes to build roads, schools etc. but the taxes from just one 10,000 hectare plantation will give you enough revenue from taxes to build multiple schools and roads every year. Okomu Oil for example paid 17b in profit taxes last year, this does not include things like VAT income tax, import duties etc etc. if you have 20,000 farmers with 1ha each their output will be roughly the same but you won’t get a penny out of them. Like I said you will be the one paying them. That’s the difference in the quality of residents and investments. That is why the GDP of Anambra is similar or slightY higher than my state but we make 5 times their IGR. We have higher quality residents. Which is down to higher quality businesses. Which is a reflection of infrastructure. |

Just 3 Points... +1 1. God bless Ngige who refused to hand over the Treasury to the Ubahs... 2. God bless Peter Obi who saved for future... 3. If a former CBN Governor Executive Guv Charles Soludo) is rejecting World Bank Loans, all the other governors are crassly stupid or somewhat kleptomaniac 4. Who will deliver Lagos State? |

SmartPolician:While you are right about taking loans to invest in creating the enabling environment for revenue generation to repay the loans, you are wrong about the Lagos example. At what time since Lagos became a state 58 years ago has it not been the richest state? Did it always have loans that it cannot repay because the governors since 1999 have failed to invest in essential and basic services as well as utilities to make it a worthwhile place to invest with priority to repaying its debts. A state that owes pensions to workers while giving former governors obnoxious packages is definitely a basket case of looting and stealing. This is what T-Pain has taken to Abuja, where he has failed to pay youth corpers and some federal workers the new minimum wage. anonimi: |
