The Supreme Court of Nigeria think they are wise by cancelling the LGA elections so that Nigeria's Tinubu can use Wike and put in those that can help him deliver the LGAs come 2027 is but a wasted effort.



Since they claim that the election is not the right one hence they won't release LGA money to the LGAs, the Governor say oya come and conduct new one and our people would still win again.

Gov. Fubara directs HLGAs to immediately takeover the running of all the 23 LGAs pending the conduct of a fresh election by RSIEC.

Following Supreme Court judgment which invalidated the October 5th, 2024 LGA election in Rivers State, Governor Fubara in a statewide broadcast on Sunday directed outgoing LGA chairmen to handover to the heads of admin of their LGA effective Monday 3rd March, 2025. Governor Fubara said more directives and next line of action will be made known when the True Certified Copy(ctc) of the Supreme Court judgment is received.. Assures complete compliance to Supreme Court judgements without reservations.

The 26 lawmakers belong to a constituency and they will sort themselves out within their individual constituencies come next election.
It might also interest you to know that the LG elections might be delayed much more if the order to release the voters register or list is not given to the State electoral body.
If the LG elections hold, I only see the eventuality that we will have more than one party having to win in the elections through their candidates. Many of those who had won will not return.
There is much not seen to the eyes than to the permutations of the analysts.

Make we just hope that the RSNA does not write the SG to prove the accounts of the LGAC for the period of stay of these chairmen that the court have sacked.....
