Use that 17m to apply for visit visa, look for any newspaper official working in nigeria and get him to publish some stories about threat to your life, etc then file for asylum once you enter canada. Going to Canada on study visa is a waste of time and resources. There are no jobs and the govt is not renewing post graduate work visa. So if you don't meet up with Express entry draws before your PGWV expires is back to Nigeria oooo

My wife was offered an admission last year October and her resumption was scheduled to be September, January and May but she was pregnant then with our first son which she had late last year and now we are thinking of continuing with the process.

I’m worried if the application could still be on and what’s her chances of approval since I believe she now has strong ties with her country back home(family and business) which in my little opinion should make her visa application accepted….

I would appreciate genuine contributions as we are pulling in big resources to make this work.
op, your wife will dump you when she establishes in canada. She just gave birth for frcks sakes. Build up yourself first.

See the advice all these married men are giving this man. Looks like they all do not trust their wives. Very immature husbands here on Nairaland.
Sharap, ndi Ekwensu!
The men those wicked Nigerian women have been dealing with abroad are the mature husbands, right?
I wish they were as immature as the ones in this forum. They would have been better off by now.

Instead of advising him to tell his wife to leave the faking alone, move on and go and get that visa and leave to go and study and improve her life and career. What benefit does kids and husband do for women? Now she has better chance of getting visa, so she doesn’t need this man anymore. She should leave and never turn back.

Your son represents a double edged sword. Yes, it can be used as a family tie but that family tie will not be staying in Nigeria.

She wil be taking your son with her to Canada which nullifies the home tie your son suppose to represent. It seems you are only applying for your wife alone but that is no more true - you are applying for a visa for your wife and son. You need to provide detail documentation and explanation about how your wife intends to take care of her son in the UK. That doesn’t come cheap as you will have to rely on child minder service which is expensive.

Your application has become very complex and you need to think it through for you to sound coherent and convincing. Canada will not want to have two illegals on their asylum, should your wife and son go that route eventually.

I wish you luck

The bolded is why Nigeria image is tarnished abroad

Do not because of what you intend to personally gain encourage more people to spoil the image of the country.

Hello Mr, this is my true opinion on this post, same thing happened to my friend last year 2024 the wife has 2 kid already and she was able to secure the visa most especially age is on her side.

however,as things stands now only God can fix that home because the wife later informed the hubby that she is not coming back and he should move on even when its obviousthat the hubby is the one footing the bills from Nigeria.

Am not saying this to sow discord or fear in you No, but a reminder that why it is ideal for you to be the one to go on such journey not your madam. This doesn't mean all women are the same but from my personal experience it's pretty hard for women out here, I live in the state and often visit Canada at will and will tell you that Canada isn't smiling at the moment.

I will also advise that you seek to know the current immigration changes regarding international students program in 2025 vis a vis immigration, those has been a subject of debate since last year and I know for a fact that things are changing especially now that US is cracking down on immigrants .God will see you through bro

Op my advice, if you have the strength and capacity support your wife to get the visa and it will be to the betterment of your family. I read the first three advice on the first page, they are off point. Eni ti tie tijona, koni kona mo tiwa. if you get to Canada, you will see a whole lot of Nigerian family living together in happiness that came thesame route you are about to start.

Yeah, we know. The man is not natural to this planet. That is the great revelation in the garden of Eden that a lot of people do not know about, the manipulation of the woman’s dna to create the man, the lineage of the devil. That is why the man goes about destroying everything on this planet. That is why the man rapes, kills and destroys everything he comes across and most significantly that is why the man hates the woman above all.

Those men are not ignorant, talking out of experience or what we have all seen happening over time, it's risky but the lord is his strength. If the wife ghost am fine, if she remains committed to their union equally fine but the probability of any of those happening is 50%

Hey brother,

Honestly, her chances are 50/50, no matter how strong the application is. I'm saying this based on my recent experience as a consultant in Canada. The political climate right now makes things unpredictable.

That aside, as a family man, I’d just advise you to tread carefully with this whole plan, even if the application gets approved. There’s a lot to consider. I would have shared specific cases and advice to help with your decision, but I don’t really know your full plan.

Wishing you the best, bro!
