PMB introduced REMITA, and now PBAT is developing a new app. I'm curious how much was spent on implementing REMITA, which has only been around for 12 years. It makes me wonder about the importance of upgrades and continuity in our systems. If I were the owner of this new software, I might be tempted to support the switch, too! I remember when REMITA was mischievously termed Remi Tinubu and Associates.

Tinubu never owned REMITA. REMITA is an enterprise software developed and owned by Systemspecs, a Nigerian Software Company owned by by John Obaro if am correct. I was to work for that man that year but it didn't happened.
That Company specializes in automating human resource development tools. They started as a hard ware company and was into building computers, networking and networking infrastructure but gradually shifted into software development.
Neway, their software has been the backbone of Nigerian government revenue generation for decades now and the system works. Why does Tinubu want to change it if not to have control over the country's revenue and shroud it in secrecy like what they doing in Lagos?
