Ranks don't get increased you can only hone your rank to bet better.
Jin woo is not limited by rank. He's a player. He's solo leveling.. his Rank will always increase and he'll always get better.

Why do you think the S rank hunters find it difficult to know if he's an assassin or a mage? Lol

It seems you didn't read the post you were quoting...

I clearly stated in my post that the established Lore of the show is that Hunters don't increase in rank...

But there are rare case of it happening, that is why there is a reassessment system in place...

He literally has girls all over falling for him...when he was a loser that had only one girl who cared for him before...

If the MC has achieved everything in like 10% of the story...then it feels unearned...

Like i said the series is not popular for its storyline- nonetheless, it's still 10% of the story🤷‍♂️. As someone who has read the manga - things can go apeshit - he could lose both his mother and sister- he could kill his father 🙃🙃 no spoilers. Keep watching boss.

The count of monte cristo is a solid 10/10 for me.

I have never ever doubted a French series before, especially the one shot on a historical or ancient settings.
This series is one series that feels like watching a live theater play and reading a novel.
The storyline is carefully told in details and if you are distracted for a second especially in the first three episodes, you will lose the entire plot.

A series based on love, betrayal, revenge, loyalty and friendship.
A series based on one single fact!!!
The sins of men lives with them.

Dialogues 10/10
Storyline 10/10
Casts 10/10
Thriller 10/10
Twists and turns 10/10
Pictures 10/10

Another thing i appreciate about this series is how The casts gave it their all, the emotions, their facial composure are incredible.
Their use of words, coupled with poetry and drama are just unbelievable.

Series ended well, justice was served and i think there will be no need for a second season at all.

One thing i have come to know is that Americans are not the best when it comes to pure acting and they seems to cover up with their wonderful VFX and media hype.

Europeans and Asians are better actors and actresses.
Anyways this is what i believe.

Then why vexing that jin woo moved up from E rank to above S rank?
You need to understand that E rank or whatever rank doesn't apply to him since he's solo leveling. He's not binded by their law.
He only show a little of what he has (shadow).. all the S rank were terrified. Imagine if he unleashed his full potential

If you really want to enjoy premium entertainment in it's theateric form, pure and undiluted play free from media hype and VFX.
Start seeing series that ain't Hollywood.

See polish, French, Chinese, norwish Argentine series, etc
Literally start seeing series that ain't main media American or main media hypes and you will begin to understand that the best series lies in the shadows.

Americans are good though, they have used the media and social media to lure us, lol
They are the best advertisers, i give it to them.

The next series i will be watching now is a British series when i am done with episodes 7 and 8 of paradise.

I never said don't watch Anime, if you are a fan of Anime, by all means it's your choice.
I don't think anybody here said you guys should stop watching Animes.

Bro, e be like na the same thing dem dey act fa...One mystery or 2, and they take the whole season to chew on it, same memo with S1 and S2, but those worked because they had likable characters, this S3 characters are so bottom barrel.


But the production value is so high quality, too cleaaannn... that's the only reason i am sticking with it 👌🏿

In Invincible, after season 1, many episodes have felt like filler without focusing on the central plot. Even the final villain of season 2 was someone who appeared in like S2E1 and was forgotten only to reappear in the finale after the audience have forgotten he existed...

Season 3 of Invincible is following the same format. Different random villains every week while little is there for the main plot...

I heard the issue with Invincible is the comics...
That the comics didn't even have a central plot but just random superhero stuff around Mark's life...but the animated series basically rewrote the season 1 to make the plot more streamlined...


For Solo Levelling, the issue here is different...
Sung Jin Woo's main goal was to cure his mother...
But very little has been established since this was revealed in episode 1.
He's just been clearing dungeons in the hope of finding a cure somehow...and now without much effort he found a cure...

It feels like the main character achieved his aim easily without giving the audience any reason to be emotionally attached to his goal... without struggle...

Imagine if Luffy ate the devil fruit, became Emperor Level in a single season and became the Pirate King by season 2.

Or Naruto suddenly became the Hokage without stress...he clears the Akatsuki and all the villains easily, saves the world in season 2 and becomes the Hokage...

It's not just about length of time, but emotional attachment and buildup is needed to make the audience care.

In Naruto, we know how much he struggled, rose and fell, suffered...etc...

In Solo Levelling, Sung Jin Woo has not struggled against any enemy since like S1E5 or 6

that's why Naruto will forever be my favourite anime

Yes! He's the first ever E-Rank hunter to be that extremely courageous. We've seen B and even A-Rank hunters cower in fear just by feeling the Aura of higher level beasts. Imagine when they were in the High Orc dungeon and the boss imprinted his aura, even hunter Cha outside the gate felt the overwhelming fear the aura portrays.

Jin Woo is brave and highly courageous to try and fight the guardians so as to help his mates escape the dungeon.

His gift was duty earned through acts of courage

We never see anything yet for solo leveling.. this anime is on same par as jjk and demon slayer.

Even though you know the antagonist will win.. the foes ain't making it easy at all lol..

The next episode too won't be good also, one thing about solo levelling, only Sung Jin Woo's fight is interesting and he won't be fighting in the next episode

The S-Ranks are extremely weak compared to him even the ants are not too and he knows that - he's just like one punch man - very strong with no real villains compared to him. But we're getting to a point where he'll be extremely weak compared to the villains coming and not to spoil it for you but it's actually one of the villains that gave him the ability to solo level
