badoh:No dey rush to dey talk nonsense. Tinubu would not have been president without rivers, he did not need the numbers, he needed the 25% requirement which he had fallen short off. Why you think say he reward wike sharply. Na wike save him ass. Otherwise na rerun btw him and atiku and obidients for just collapse into atiku camp |

43Ronin:Tinubu can’t impeach Fubara … he’s loved by the state and that will be a bad one for his government I can bet it with you.. it will never happen. Once the process begins .. it will be difficult to curtail Tinubu has wan alternative in akwaibom … and he has already gotten to udom… who he will force to APC and rig elections there Rivers is not a must for Tinubu.. aside for the money Politicians are wise |

chubinwa:Be wise I support Fubara and this has nothing to do with APC not even with PDP. This is Fubara against Wike . Even if they swap parties the fight will still continue. |

Wasting of money... Election result wey be say na Governor dey write and have his siec Chairman declare. Another court case loading for lawyers to cash out. This time, na all-out full war for both parties (Wike vs Fubara) They both have enough time to reinforce their thugs. It will not be easy for Fubara to have his way and there is high possibility that he may be impeached before the sets date for the LG election. South South Elder Statesmen needs to find a way to put an end to Wike and Fubara fight because it will only draw the region development backward. Both are fighting for selfish interest. |

I, personally, don't think Tinubu, even if clandestinely, has the moral rectitude to have Fubara impeached. His recent meddlesomeness in the internal affairs of the LSHA would forever be a reference point in our political history. Fubara, abeg, give Tinubu and Wike wotowoto! If Tinubu could do it, Fubara can do even more! We are now in a jungle! @hotseat |

Odin13:Kano, kaduna, katsina are lining up to betray tinubu with at least 1m votes, he will need rivers, akwaibom, Ebony to drop same numbers. Remeber wike gave GEJ 1.4m votes he will need that from at least 3 sources in SS |

NtoAkwaIbom:do you think he doesn't know?? He already knows wike present power in rivers state is the supreme court. People are still waiting for the 27 members to impeach Fubara. Wike wound ve told his boys to impeach if he get mind |
| Re: Rivers Local Government Election Holds August 9 - RSIEC by tunapawizzy: 4:51pm On Mar 05, 2025 |
Rivers election is largely dependent on who has the thugs/militants and RSIEC. There will be blooshed no doubt but as long as RSIEC is still chairman is still Fubara's man, nothing Wike and his boys can do. The only thing na to dey threaten impeachment which will not really fly, 2 years is a long time but I think Fubara will survive this. He needs to keep the Chief Judge of the state safe |

blackgold2018:the Chief Judge plays a crucial role in any impeachment. I dont know how Wike can get this done. |
| Re: Rivers Local Government Election Holds August 9 - RSIEC by honeyB2018: 6:03pm On Mar 05, 2025 |
Mrexcell:You know,it was the APC guys that took the government to Court over the election. The point was that 90 days period, for notice of elections, revalidation of voters card, collection of new voters card by INEC, wasn't done. So from the day of issuance of notice of elections, till the election proper, is more than enough time to meet the 90 days requirements. They know what they are doing. |

SatoshiX:Will the RHOA, stop the RSEIC from doing their constitutional duties? Wike and his people, just want to take control of the LGAS, so the want to use the law to control them, but the people whose right constitutionally it is to organize the election is the RSEIC.. The RHOA amendments, could be struck down by the state high courts and it ends there. Local government elections are completely under the control of any state government. Wike and his group will lose here again. |

Odin13:With this level of interest, it's obvious Rivers is a must win. Calculation at the moment looks bad for the incumbent in 2027, he needs states that delivered heavily in 2023 to still be in his favour. Although it seemed like Wike wrote all the results sheet and ditch the voters. Fubara has totally messed up thier plan with his political trajectory and needs to be stopped. As it stands, no clean sweep for the incumbent in any south south state except cross-river whose votes don't count for much. Edo has a mind of it's own, Delta is a core loyal PDP state. Bayelsa votes are marginally and heavy PDP presence Akwa Ibom will be a split Left with rivers that is as heavy as 3 south south states combined. |
