Supporters of Senate President Godswill Akpabio have openly expressed their stance during a protest at the National Assembly in Abuja on Wednesday, News360 Nigeria reports.

One protester said: “I didn’t see any wrong in what they are saying, thought I dont know much details in what they are saying ”

“I don’t know why am supporting him, I dont know the whole story”.

Another said: “I’m protesting because I want Senator Akpabio to win the position,” the demonstrator stated while joining the pro-Akpabio rally.

The protest happened amid ongoing tensions following allegations of sexual harassment against Akpabio by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

While some protesters demanded Akpabio’s resignation, his supporters gathered to show solidarity, dismissing the accusations against him.

Though they are likely sponsored, these protesters are not doing anything different than the average Nigerian will do, that is, follow the crowd instead of thinking for yourself. Na so we de do jungle justice on NL and social media on different topics. If they hate someone, they can never see anything good.

On this matter, people have already taken sides, instead of hearing from both sides. One side is alleging, another side is alleging. They are sponsoring posts about themselves, hoping that we can judge a matter of family affair. Whether you look at it as family friends or members of the Senate, it is a family affair. If Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan is lying, she'll lose and SP will win. If she's saying the truth, the Senate will win. Isn't it a win-win? Our leaders are not so different from us.

Whoever knows the handler of the NASS YouTube page should let them know that the NASS is not TVC or Arise News. The captions they use to describe senate plenary is disgraceful to say the least. This Senate is disgracing the institution
