Logistics of January 1966 coup: Ifeajuna led the Lagos faction that went to Tafawa Balewa’s residence…. He is Igbo Nzeogwu led the Northern faction in Kaduna…. He is Igbo Nwobosi led the faction that went to Ibadan and killed Aare Akintola…. He is Igbo Timothy Oneatuegwu led the faction that went to Ademulegun’s house and killed him and his pregnant wife. He is Igbo. Timothy Onwatwegu led the faction that went to Ralph Sodeinde’s house in Kaduna…. He is Igbo. Ezedigbo led the faction that went to Okotie- Eboh’s house…. He is Igbo Chris Anuforo led the faction that went to Col Kur Mohammed’s house…. He is Igbo Donatus Okafor led the faction that went to Maimalari’s house. He is Igbo. Lt Oguchi was sent to the East to kill Okpara…. He spared his life…. He was Igbo. Everyone who died in the January 1966 coup was killed by Igbos. Nobody from another tribe pulled a trigger that killed anyone in the January 1966 coup. My own grandfather was one of Awolowo's closest allies. He was also a target of the coup plotters but he escaped and ran to Ghana. He died the shortly after arriving in Ghana. If the coup plotterss targeted Awolowo's allies, how can you call it Awolowo's coup? How can you say they wanted to free Awolowo? My dad of blessed memory used to tell me that God used Awolowo's imprisonment to preserve Awolowo's life. If he had not been in prison, he would have been killed. To imagine that the January 1966 coup was not an Igbo agenda is an insult on the memory of the Innocent Victims that were brutally killed for no just cause. So Nzeogwu spoke Hausa fluently and lived in the North…. SO WHAT Ojukwu was born in the North. Spoke Hausa fluently. Up until he was made Governor of Eastern region, he never lived in the East. He schooled in Lagos and England before joining the military. History remembers him as the warlord that led the Senseless Biafra war. Zik was born in the North. Spoke Hausa fluently. His parents had to send him home so he could learn the language. He spoke Yoruba fluently. His early political career was in Yorubaland. That did not stop him from building an Igbo supremacist group called Igbo federal union where he declared that his people were created by God as a special race to lead Africans. Propoganda has no place in our time. Your fathers killed innocent people… murdered innocent women and even pregnant women. You can never whitewash the sins of your fathers with any kind of Propaganda. It is obvious that many still carry the DNA of their ancestors. And while they deny the evil committed by their Forefathers, they patiently wait for another opportunity to unleash mayhem, especially in Lagos Yorubaland. We will never lose guard in Yorubaland Again.

GothamCities:Everybody knows is an igbo coup. IBB is suffering from brain disorder and so I don't expect him to be reasonable again. I thank God he is reaping his many atrocities. |

kedeojo:IBB actually clarified on page 39 of his book that "the coup eventually took an unmistakable ethnic coloration compounded by the fact that there was no related coup activities in the Eastern Region." |

Dalohad:You should mention anyone who Ademoyega killed. We only mentioned those who killed people. |

GothamCities:Perhaps there was a coup within the coup as was the case of the one that ousted the second republic government and the south easterners spared a lot of their own. |

Ohyoudidnt:From what IBB said, I think it was a case of Hijacking. A coup hijacked a coup. |

GothamCities:Choice of words to deliver the same message. Hijack a coup, coup within a coup? Like the smarter thief who poisoned the robbers after the heist. |

Ohyoudidnt:Yeah, I was just confirming your words. I spoke in support of your assertion that it was a coup within a coup, I just explained it further. |
