Valid points but I think the saves were indeed spectacular but nothing out of the ordinary.

PSG dominated the whole game, they didn't create big chances and were limited to long distant shots. In fact, I can't remember a clear cut chance that PSG created in that game. May be one but I can't recall. I remember a close range efforts he saved and the long distance efforts from Kvara and Doue.

But here's the thing and why I think he's getting all the plaudits including the MVP award. Every save or clearance Alisson made in that game was cleared into an area where it's no longer a threat or putting his team in danger. He was also the only guy on top for Liverpool because they were tragic to watch.

There were instances where he just held on to some difficult crosses or shots. By doing this, he destroys any additional chances.

Take Onana or Sanchez for example. They'll block a shot or parry a cross into dangerous areas leading to a rebound goal or something.

This is what happened yesterday in my opinion and why he won the MVP plus the eye test was good. But don't expect people to agree with you because the general consensus here is that you CAP a lot. I do not agree with them but that's the consensus.

Anybody who watched that match and tries to downplay any of those saves is doing so for his own agenda. There's a reason why he was man of the match ahead of those psg boys who were pressing them like soft breast yesterday.

Our two goals were literally scored by our subs, we might have rotated heavily in the group stage but knockouts are a different gravy, see how we struggled throughout the first half before the introduction of our starters, he also had several matches to try out some of these guys before today. Winning this competition is nothing but a no brainer.

This George kid would be deadly as he gets more experience. Cobham still breeding gems despite the current strategy.
