Hemanwel:Did the lawmakers get there with real majority votes or with the backing of the same establishment that decides what happens? You think that they were democratically elected? |

Anti - democratic fellas masquerading as progressives. For the corrupt Obasa to be imposed again showed how corrupt they can all be. As usual, all the stupid asslicking mummified zombies of Baba soope are all missing on the thread. |

I don't know how internal problem of a party becomes headaches of some people, the Lagos assembly is control by a single party but members didn't get there on their own they are voted for. They have issues and settled it as members of a single family and this is acceptable in democracy, democracy doesn't mean war. The leaders of the party believes the way and manner the speaker was impeached is unconstitutional and intervened and set things right. People that are kicking against what happened in Lagos assembly, are not sincere, they want a political rancour, should this issues get protracted like Rivers state issues, the same punch will be writing editorials to blame one leader or the other for not intervening or for being the author of the problem. Lagos as the most developed state in Nigeria and as the social and economic hub of Nigeria can not afford a political turmoils, which the consequences will not be felt by Lagosians alone but the whole of Nigerians. |

Afritop:Tell us why he was impeached in his absence. I learnt the house was even in recess when the impeachment was carried out. I initially was happy he was impeached but later realised due process was not followed in his impeachment. |

Hemanwel:We can't agree less in your postulations! You removed a Speaker and he came back with arrogant meme and even many who claimed to be Lagosians Siddon de look,e.g.Fashola and did you hear any so called GAC Members again? In Ambode case, they were justifying the illegal removal of the man Second Coming as a governor but now, they were all silent 😶 because of the Big Masquerade. As at today,Lagos State Students, have not Collected their Bursary( for Law School) and Scholarships- for 2nd year running - 2024 and 2025,as if it was not Budgeted and Approved and they pretend that they are -helping the Talakwas!/ the Poor, indeed! Why is it difficult for them to make the Masses happy,on things that belong to the Masses, afterall, nobody is fighting them ( both the Executive and the Legislatures) on their own Humongous Salaries, Allowances and Pensions, after all the Corruption allegations. Obasa should have allowed the Peace to reign because after Decades on that Seat and you wonder how his imposition comes in and the role of the Chiefs ( Akande and Osoba) in Lagos State is not an Ideal one for our nascent Democracy or may be they know more but after all the conjectures, they want to make headlines. Time will tell,if all this is about and towards the elections of 2027! |

The All Progressives Congress lords said they had resolved the Lagos Assembly crisis. This stands truth on its head. What they did was a brazen attack on democracy and an abuse of their privileges. They made the assembly look spineless and toothless, portraying the lawmakers as no better than neophytes. This is the key excerpt, but this is Nigeria and it's not exactly much that the public can do (except for Obasa's constituency to vote him out which is not likely by a long stretch), so let's move on. |

badoh:What due process was not followed. But was the message not clear to the conniving godfathers that they don’t want him. The GAC (Godfathers Action peoples Congress) that included the demonic aristocrats in Lagos intentionally put bottlenecks and hindrances so that he can never be removed. Obasa excuse was that they used a fake mace. Could that as well possibly mean the GAC intentionally hid the mace so that he will occupy the position for life and they will decide who will be the speaker and not the state assembly |

Impeachment that doesn't follow due process must NEVER be allowed to stand for the danger of setting a bad precedent that it portends. |
