Effect of night school. I never knew dangote's middle name is Nigeria. From the nonsense newspaper you posted, it was stated that 'Nigeria's refinery' not 'dangote's refinery'. Hatred begets foolishness

Very good development.

For those who care to know, this is what most of the plastics you see around you is made off.

Nigeria used to import a lot of it from South Korea. Imports of this item will likely now stop. This is a big shot in the arm for Nigeria's industrialisation aspirations.

A refinery as big as Dangote's is more than just petrol and diesel. It is a game changer in ways that many have not realised.

I understand that tar is about 3% to 4% of the byproducts of a big refinery.

Imagine if Dangote refinery starts producing tar, which Nigeria spends tens of billions importing every year. That will be a major milestone in the history of road construction in Nigeria.

I can't wait!
Spot on.

How? B-b-b-but some random, braindead ibodient lover of Nigeria said his uncle's wife's brother's friend's auntie's husband's nephew working as a contractor at the refinery said it won't start working till 2070. That all the noise is just APC and agbado propaganda.

Now Port Harcourt and Warri Refineries should tell us where are the byproduct of the Refineries and who have been selling them and where is the money.
Warri Refinery also has a polypropylene plans and. I think a carbon something plant. I believe they do supply former Michelin raw materials in those days. It was designed not to really have any e
Waste.

Seems the polypropylene plant for port Harcourt was separated and eventually sold (something indorama) don't know the correct story.

The refineries had good plans initially, just poor maintenance and zero growth orientation.

Remember that the FG sells crude oil to him at the same price as the foreign refineries. And he pays all sorts of taxes as if he is importing the petrol. They say they charge him so high to get money to do projects for us. So they make us pay more so that they can get the money to take care of us. grin

Are you sure? This same song was sang a million times when he was about to refine fuel. How many forex have we saved? Naira to dollar is still very high. This is Nigeria where something as ideal as you said doesn't really work

Who even told you people in the first place that there's any FG refinery producing fuel in this country?
It's only Dangote refinery that is working.
Anybody saying PH and Warri refineries are currently refining fuel is a pathetic liar.
Such a person should first of all answer a very pertinent question that you asked them before coming to argue trash here.
I am waiting for those Jr brothers of Liar Muhammad to come answer this your question.
PH refinery has been producing fuel since December last year but very small and not up to 5% of Nigeria’s demand. The yellow line on this graph is production from PH refinery.

Maybe because of the amount of crude oil needed. Crude oil is also a high dollar commodity. Also, Dangote would be in the process of paying his 5.5 Billion dollars debt at the moment. But if Nigeria increases oil production and produces more crude for the refinery, then there would be a bigger effect on FX than what it is now.

Showing love is a waste of time in this matter... They should instead have and show sense in production and refining of the crude and maybe allow other billionaires a chance into the fray, thus enabling healthy competition in that market...

They NNPC and their thieving Management can't tell you because of high level corruption in these Organisations.
Dangote is a Private Sector/ Organisation and they give Accounts of what they do now and then, but Not So With Other Public Institutions - like NNPC, DISCOS,the MAD( Min, Agencies and Depts, including Poverty Alieviation Ministry, etc.
Besides - how many Govt Officials have Declared Their Assets- for NIGERIANS to Verify?
How Many of your NLC - Members have declared their Assets too - on what they claimed as Dues, etc.
Please, forget about all these people.

What is it COST in MARKET, AFFORDABLE?
You are talking of cost, price, affordable? Let's first have local production. Meaning no import , mean stronger naira, so less inflation across board, also local production means more employment for our people, if continue like this, for more products such as milk and dairies, sugar, rubber cocoa products and so many others then good life will be affordable.
