Billionaire Elon Musk said Sunday that Ukraine's frontline would collapse if he turned off his Starlink satellite internet constellation in the country amid its war with Russia, stressing his frustration with "years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will inevitably lose."

Musk, also a senior advisor to President Donald Trump, first reacted to a post on X by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, who said "Not another penny to Ukraine" in response to a post from another user questioning if U.S. taxpayers paid for a huge Ukrainian flag that was unfurled in front of the White House.

"Place sanctions on the top 10 Ukrainian oligarchs, especially the ones with mansions in Monaco, and this will stop immediately. That is the key to the puzzle," Musk responded to Lee.

Another user said they agreed with Musk's position that anyone engaging in corruption should be sanctioned, but told the SpaceX and Tesla founder that he should "stop pretending" Russian President Vladimir Putin is not the aggressor. The user said Musk only seems focused on criticizing Ukraine but not Putin.

Musk replied by saying he had challenged Putin to a physical fight and that Starlink "is the backbone of the Ukrainian army," as the war between Ukraine and Russia sparked by Mosow's invasion in February 2022 continues.

"I literally challenged Putin to one on one physical combat over Ukraine and my Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off," Musk said.

"What I am sickened by is years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will inevitably lose," he continued. "Anyone who really cares, really thinks and really understands wants the meat grinder to stop. PEACE NOW!!

Musk had challenged Putin to "single combat" in March 2022 in a post on the social media platform.

All these wars and insecurities are constantly reminding us that this world is not a permanent settlement. Whoever invested so heavy in the life of this world will eventually lose either death or old age. The Ukrainians has right to defend their land against Russian just like the Palestinians.

Are humans in Sudan and what are they fighting for? Russia and Ukraine are fighting for national and territorial honours. Russia is fighting for the safety and ethnic Russians in Ukraine and Ukraine is fighting for contiguous territorial integrity.

What is happening in Sudan is a battle of warlords.

Trump and Musk should stop pampering killer Putin. Tell Putin to his face that he was wrong invading Ukraine to start with but for peace to reign that you guys will appeal to Ukraine's President to let go and that Putin should not take this as a weakness from Europe and the rest of the world but should please avoid future incursions or else, they wouldn't find it funny.

Putin is the aggressor.


The reason this war has lingered is because Ukraine aren't bombing Russian civilians and civilian populated areas, which would have made Russians to revolt against Putin. Ukraine only targets Russian military and their facilities while Russia bomb both Ukraine's military and civilian areas recklessly.


And after this war, Ukraine should rebuild their military. They have the talents, they should invest in them and start indigenous military technology production for their future away from US backup. And all European countries should do same.


Germany too need to start nuclear weapon production, every country should acquire it now that US has a President that doesn't care about what happens outside the US. That is the only way to keep Russia and other mad nations like them away from your borders

I recall how he mocked Putin and the Minsk Accord during a 2019 meeting brokered by France, smirking as he carried on with his bravado.

Now, he’s facing the consequences of his miscalculation, and he has no choice but to deal with it.

History will remember him as the president who had every opportunity to protect his people but instead led them straight into disaster.
