Abufo:Show us the facts and stop giving false information. Why can not there be anything significant in Ibo land in the 17th or 18th century? All we know about Ibo people is that Igala conquered half of the Ibo territory and ruled over them until the colonial master arrived. Correct me if I am wrong. Does Attah of Igala conquer your territory? |

So even if it were Igbos, they will have to displace other people in their present location too. That's what it was So? |

bmaster2000:How do you come up with these fallacies? The Aro confederacy and Nri kingdom predate your Yoruba history by thousands of years as evidenced by archaeological findings. Anioma, ika and ikwerre are Igbos just like you have the Ijebus, aworis, ilajes etc in your Yoruba land. The Ibibios, Efiks, anangs, etc have been excellent neighbors and trading partners with the Igbos for thousands of years. The Ajayi Crowther writings were actually done by the freed Igbo slaves in the Americas for which Ajayi crowther took credit. Also, I’m familiar with his works and they are quite basic to say the least. Igbo historians will put everything you think you know about Igbo history to shame. Also, archeological evidence from Igbo-ukwu shows evidence of textile mills in Igbo land. While I do not agree with any connection between the Igbos and your Ile-ife, it is important to correct your fallacies. The Igbos are a global force to be reckoned with. The Igbo nation is one of the largest in Africa. |

| Re: Igbo Founded Ile Ife by Pelicanbrief(m): 9:14pm On Mar 09, 2025 |
The great Igbo nation owns everything East and west of the river Niger. The yorubas are not indigenous to Nigeria and where they currently occupy is an extension of Igboland. The entire yoruba slave tribe and their h0rny of ife must begin to pay land use charge to their Igbo landlords or we evict the ugly sub-humans. Igbomina , Igbo-ona, Igbo-ijesha, Igbo-orangun, Igbo-igbaja, Ijebu-Igbo and every other part of the sad waste belong to Ndi-Igbo and we will annex it and drive the skvll miners back to Togo |

AdeYORUFAFO:Show proof. There was no civilization in Igbo before the British colonial master arrived. Prove me wrong and provide prove Atta of Igala conquered and ruled the Igbo land for many years before the British colony ended his feudalism over the entire Ibo people.Prove me wrong. Bishop Ajayi Crowther, a Yoruba man, wrote the first book ever written for the Ibo people...prove me wrong....Ajayi Crowther controls the entire Christian faith in West Africa. Go check the facts, including the white missionary who later came to Africa. If you have no proof for all of the above....then, always know that your ancestors and my ancestors weren't in the league. ...shoe get size! !!! |

bmaster2000:He who alleges must prove, so you’re the one who should provide proof of your fallacy. The Igbo-ukwu and lejja archaeological evidence show that the Igbos were already smelting iron and bronze respectively over 4000 years ago. Long before your Yoruba came into existence. The Nri kingdom and Aro confederacy prove that the Igbos were already a thriving civilization as their influence can still be felt in Igbo land till date. These civilizations predate your Yoruba history by several thousand years. The incursion of the Atta of Igala on the northern fringes of Igboland was repelled by the Aro confederacy otherwise the Igbo culture would have been subsumed by the Igala culture. Igala still remains an ethnic minority while the Igbos are a super majority. Also, if the Atta of Igala had ruled Igboland as you claim, the influence of Igala culture would have been evident in all of Igboland, but that is not the case. Igala influence can only be seen in the northern fringes of Nsukka through their masquerades. The said masquerades have long been subsumed under the Igbo culture as the Atta was conclusively defeated by the Aro confederacy. Your Yoruba kingdoms were rapidly beaten into submission by the colonial powers, but the Igbos repelled the colonial powers for much longer till the military technology of the British government evolved overwhelmingly. The influence of Ajayi crowther is being overstated by you and your ilk. Ajayi crowther was an Anglican bishop who was captured by Fulani marauders and sold into slavery in the 1800s. The Igbos were already trading with the Portuguese as early as the 15th century. Indeed Ajayi Crowther led a team of missionaries which comprised of freed Igbo slaves from Sierra Leone and white missionaries who introduced the Anglican faith in Igbo land, he is however not credited with any aspect of Igbo history. It is worthy of note that Ajayi Crowther Following the British Niger Expeditions of 1854 and 1857 published an Igbo primer written by a young Igbo missionary named Simon Jonas, who travelled with him to Aboh in 1857. He also published one for the Nupe language in 1860, and a full grammar and vocabulary of Nupe in 1864. Historical evidence prove that the Igbos were already interacting and trading with the Portuguese in the 1400s. Some of the Igbo-ukwu artifacts are chemically related to archeological sites in Asia and North Africa (notably Egypt) which proves that the Igbos were probably trading with those civilizations. Indeed my ancestors and your ancestors are not in the same league. The Igbos were already a sophisticated republican nation built on commerce and mutual prosperity, while your ancestors were a bunch of feudal kingdoms that drowned themselves in human sacrifice and barbarism which you tout as culture. The Igbos believe that all men are equal under God while your ancestors were subjugated by their overlords whom you call your Obas. The Yoruba descendants are still under the subjugation of their so called Obas and modern Fulani overlords. Don’t ever compare the Igbos with your inferior stock. |

AdeYORUFAFO:I could see all kinds of lies and dodgy claims you made to defend your tribe...it is expected...because your tribe represents who you are in society. However, all of these lies will not get you or your people anywhere because how will you explain it when the evidence is right in front of your face.... Firstly, you defended your tribe by saying that Igala people did not conquer your tribe and that Igala people are now a minority among the Ibo people.....pause a bit....even those Igala people by lineage, they are also called Ibo people today......Ibo people are a conjecture of the British colony....there was no entity called Ibo people before the British came in....Ibo ethnic group is a conjecture. As Igala were not a majority in your tribe, your tribe lineage is not a majority in Ibo land... it is the conjecture of many tribes and clans that formed the modern Ibo people. Second, you were so dishonest as to submit that an Ibo boy named Simeon wrote the book for Ajayi Crowther...LMAO. You can tell such lies to some of your uneducated tribe members in villages and suburbs. There are evidences in Calabar and Port Harcourt until tomorrow that speak to what Ajayi Crowther did in your region.Stop lying...Ajayi is extremely intelligent; he has mastered more than eight African languages. These include Yoruba, Igbo, Nupe, Hausa, and others. He wrote and published his books with his name.attached ...I am yet to see any books with by Ajayi Crowther with Ibo name(s) as the co - author .. There are libraries in Lagos built and dedicated solely to Ajayi Crowther's publication books alone. ..so there is plenty of evidence. You and your people can edit your own side of Ajayi Crowther stories and books, but the manuscripts and compendium of books that has been written by him cannot be erased. He kept authoring and publishing books till his death...so, you can edit any historiy written by Ajayi Crowther. ... Now, Can you name one Igbo man among your ancestors who has ever written languages, history, or anything for Yoruba benefits? None!!!! Shoe get size..... Third, you claimed that one Arochukwu tribe had known civilization before the British arrived. Do you want me to believe such a story, Abi? Till today , the Arochukwu you are talking about hasn't experience civilization.... the entire Abia State where Arochukwu is located hasn't know civilization till tomorrow. Fifthly , you mentioned about bronze in Ibo land...LOL. ....lemme ask you. .was it your clan or tribe among the conjecture of Ibo ethnic group that made that bronze. .? Do you even know how the bronze came about? Claiming nonsense. .... Lemme pause.I am here to ask you a question, and if you can respond adequately and sincerely, I will continue with my submission.... Now, where education goes, civilization follows; however, where there is no education, civilization does not exist. Education is the foundation of all modernization.Society plays an important role in human existence.... Education is light. Having said all of this...In your response, you claimed that there has been civilization in Ibo land...now, if you can, mention just one school that was established in Ibo land before 1920......then come back let's continue but if you can't, just keep all of your lies and false submission to yourself... do not bother responding. I am not interested. |

Ajayi Crowther, a Yoruba man brought civilization to the Igbos so no way they could have been in Ile-Ife. They are trying to twist history, Yorubas were the ones that discovered them in their enclaves and refined them. |

bmaster2000:Your submission lacks intellectual vigor and is full of emotional lies which your ilk has been force fed for a long time. You did not refute my points with any evidence but rather chose to use the same worn-out lies that your tribe is renowned for. Your response also indicates a gross deficiency in reading and comprehension as your attempt to counter me is grossly off point. First and foremost it is Igbo not Ibo. This is a spelling error which notable intellectuals have come out severally to correct. The Igala incursion in the northern fringes of Igbo land (some communities in Nsukka) was repelled by Aro warriors. This is a historical fact. If there was ever a nationwide conquest of Igbo land by the Igalas, there would be cultural evidences (which is not the case). Also, Igbo nation is distinct from Igala nation. Igala is NOT an Igbo minority. You need to purge yourselves of the grossly ignorant Ibadan expressway mentality of assuming that anyone who is not Hausa-Fulani or Yoruba must be Igbo. There are several distinct ethnic groups who have co-existed side-by-side the Igbos for thousands of years. Kindly rid yourself and your ilk of this gross ignorance. The Igbo identity existed long before the British colonialism. It is the “Yoruba” conjecture that was formed by the Hausa-Fulani to denote the dubious, morally bankrupt people that occupy the present day SW Nigeria. Bishop Ajayi Crowther is a respected Anglican bishop but it is entirely senseless for you to assume that he had mastery of those languages you mentioned beyond a basic proficiency. The Igbo primer was indeed written by a missionary who was part of his team, he was credited as the publisher. Go and research the book. Kindly point out those evidence in Calabar and PH that buttress your claim. You’re clearly confabulating here. Kindly take a stroll to any worthwhile department of linguistics in any reputable university in the SW and witness the innumerable contribution of Igbo academics in African languages, and if that doesn’t refine your mind then nothing will. The fact that you’re confusing Aro confederacy with Arochukwu (which was indeed the capital of the confederacy) is indicative of your lack of intellectual capacity and knowledge. A basic research would have saved you this embarrassment. While at it, also research the long juju. Go to Abia state and the Arochukwu in question to see if any SW state (except Lagos) has experienced any civilization beyond the state. The fact that you don’t know about the Igbo-ukwu bronze artifacts speaks volumes about your ignorance. The early missionaries established educational centers as they were spreading Christianity, also Central School Onitsha was founded in 1860. Mr Man, I strongly advise that you seek mental health and psychosocial support because your hatred for the Igbos has severely afflicted your mind to the point that you’re now d*lusional. You’ve degenerated to the point where you’ve convinced yourself that the Igbo nation is a mere conjecture when historical, linguistic, cultural and archaeological evidence prove otherwise. You’ve managed to induce a dissociative amnesia to your mind due to your hatred. |
