Well, all Southern regions now have Development commissions. Food sufficiency is a major exponent of socio-economic development.

Let NDDC, SEDC and SWDC declare state of emergency on commercial crop and livestock farming in their respective region and we shall see whether the blackmail of Nigeria by the North, political and otherwise, will not end for good.

If he has stored food in warehouses hoping to torment us with high prices later, it serves him right. People are hungry and angry because of outrageous prices. If imports will make a difference for now, so be it. Hopefully, other interventions in the agricultural sector will bring about bountiful harvests which will automatically bring down prices without the need for importation.
